At home and in my car, of course, and also in the building at work, in a work truck in the backseat, and at the movies. It was really nice to sit there and enjoy the movie while stealth vaping, so as not to exhale clouds that would disturb others, and not to wonder when the movie is going to end so I can go outside to smoke.

Of course, I plan on vaping on plane trips, and the one that I'm really excited about: vaping on a dive boat where smoking is not allowed! If it's a two dive trip, you typically spend 1hour out of the water between dives and it used to bother me to sit there and not smoke. Now I don't have to worry about it.

Vaping while getting gas has proven to be the most exciting thing ever. I just love the look on people's faces!!!

I know this is going to sound "reactionary" but vaping, or for that matter, doing anything electronic while getting gas can be dangerous. There are videos (security cams) of people using their cell phones while filling up and becoming a big ball of fire, due to the fumes that escape from the fuel tank while filling. The electronic device can ignite the fumes that gather around the "Filler" and consume them in a plume of fire. Even static electricity on one's clothes.

haha yes - I admit I did that a couple of fillups ago. My carto was nice and warmed up and cranking out great flavor, so I thought, why not, this thing doesn't even make a spark, and even if it did, it would be enclosed inside the carto.

I don't think anyone noticed :)

I was on a 6 hour flight back from Hawaii Sunday night. Before getting on at the Kona (outdoor) gate, my eye was grabbed by a young kid (at most 18 or 19) blowing out a puff of smoke. Or, so my mind thought at first glance. He was vaping a Square. Saw him sitting in the very back row (huddled in the corner seat) chain vaping the thing. As I was on my way to the bathroom to puff away on my Pig Cig privately. Thought about talking to him to see if he had just grabbed the disposable to keep his nic craves down on the flight, or was a Vaper. Decided not to, in case Mom wasn't happy about his "habit".

On another note, after the flight, standing out at the curb (LAX) waiting for my shuttle, one of the Attendants hovered me while I was openly vaping, then finally asked, "What is that thing?" I told her and she was very interested. She has tried the patch, gum, etc... Told her she can get a "trial" eCig (Blu disposable) at Walmarts. She said she also works there and was going to pick one up the next day. Hope she does.

Cheers!

I'm new to vaping, but travel a lot for work, driving some, mostly air travel. I was nervous to stealth vape in the plane but after easily getting away with it in the bathroom at the terminal figured I'd try it on the flight as well. Very simple, just had the thing in my shirt pocket or held it inside my sleeve, acted like I was nodding off or trying to with my head rested against my fist, and would steal a vape every now and then. Today I went into the plane's lavatory and did it there for the first time. Even safer!

The really nice thing on those occasional long drives to Chicago, St Louis etc, I can vape all day, and get to the hospital, doctor's office etc, meet with the docs and nurses and other study staff, and I don't reek of smoke! A constant worry in my recent analog days, which lead me to not smoking until after the visit!

I look forward to vaping in church sometime soon! :) nah, j/k

I was going to start a thread on this topic. I'm just shy of two weeks and was curious how the public accepts this. I have been vaping at my desk and not a single person is aware of it or they are not saying anything about it. Last weekend I went to my son's wrestling tournament at a high dollar private school. I went outside to vape, but got the evil eye from plenty of people passing by. I might as well have been smoking a joint.

Another thing I have been curious about is how often are you asked about what you are doing when vaping in public? Do public officals (cops) give you a hard time or question you about it? How do you get it through security to get on a flight?

Thanks,
JG

Bah here in Oregon you cannot smoke on business sidewalks anymore. I almost got ticket once (i was 23 at the time) like come on officer aren't I a little old to get a ticket for cigarettes lol.

Vape wise so far, all over my house (was a non smoking zone), my car, they let me vape in the convenience mart down the street while I was getting some pop, and chips (felt a little self conscious though lol), I have vaped in the gas station, both inside and at the pumps while getting gas ^^, and ofc, in the tobacconist shoppe, where I get my cartomizers. Also done stealth vapes in bathrooms at my non smoker friends house, and one stealth vape in their living room while they were in the bathroom lol lol lol.

Question from Germany: is smoking in public places outdoor allowed in US?

Kansas has a 50ft law. You can't smoke within 50ft of an entrance to a store. However, ecigs don't fall under our Clean Air Act so vaping isn't included. The state lets the property owners make the decision. As for me, I do it where I want but I don't make it obvious.

I stealth vaped on an airplane...can't lie...I was super hammered (hate flying, so I pounded quite a few Double Knob Creeks and Diets before I got on)

Made me feel like a secret agent haha.

Haha that's funny!! I mostly only vape at home, in my car, or at my desk at work. Rest of the time I keep it in my purse ;)
