Hi everyone,

Just like to ask my fellow South Africans where to buy units other than eciggies.co.za?

Like the Ego's just looking for something with a bit more punch.

ATM I've got an joyetech eGo-C upgrade with a Kanger MT-3 tank, and a Joyetech eGo-T 18650 MOD battery with a Knock-off Vivi-Nova tank.


I've googled but only come up with Twisp & greensmoke - both not what I'm looking for. Looking for a nice MOD with VV and a LCD display etc... Like a Provari

I can't help you on where to buy in South Africa, unfortunately. I would hope you could order from another country and have a reasonable chance of getting what you ordered.

Since you are looking for a good APV (mod), I would suggest you look at the variable watt (VW) Vamo for ($40 US). It has gotten many good reviews and VW has advantages over VV. Here a review and at least a site in the US that carries them:

You can order a Vamo from Vaporbreak. I've ordered one and it's cheap! Only trouble is, you'll wait and wait with China post.

I believe www.digitalberry.co.za has an mvp kit, but its not cheap though. Best bet is to import from overseas, China or US is your best bet. At this point I think it is rather hard for local suppliers to thrive, especially when it comes to juice. I really hate waiting for the postman though

Maybe if we support vendors like eciggies they'll eventually build up a customer base that will justify them importing nicer mods and rbas en masse. just my speculative two cents

If it wasnt for all the crappy legislative and customs restraints, i would start my own ecig business without a doubt, vaping is the future and the potential customer base is HUGE.

I totally agree with you Oombok. Eciggies deserves our support. Some of their prices are really not that bad. Walter's the only guy that can sell you a mechanical in SA - I bought one and it ain't that bad! As I've said before, check out the Evic and the VapeOnly bcc - try and get them for that price imported!
Juice is the real issue this side. Since I've gone to the RBA's - my juice consumption has gone throught the roof! At R150 a bottle domestic it ain't much cheaper than staying on the stinkies.
What I do now is get the high nic 100% pg imported along with the flavours. I then cut it with 50% VG from Dischem (R25 for 250ml). This gives me a 50/50 18mg juice REAL cheap!

The evic is great! If you order one from Eciggies, order the mini monster tube too(not the whole thing, just the tube, it's cheap). It looks great on the mod and enables you to use an 18350.

Sarje, how's that mechanical from eciggies? I've been thinking about ordering one as soon as my rba's get here from "the overseas". I can't really tell from the pics on the site whether that model is vented or not. I know some of the earlier versions of that mod were not vented and were basically a pipe-bomb waiting to happen. R350 is really not bad for a simple mechanical to mess around with. I see they have protanks in now too, which is great!

Have you ran into any problems with customs while importing your nicotine base fluid?

The mechanical is vented. It's actually a bit too well vented - you can clearly see the 18650 through the slots. The pics on the site are a bit confusing as they are all diferent models. The actual one is a mix of the two. It's got the long vents but doesn't have the dimples in the push button. It's definitely a cheap mod, in 18650 mode, it rattles a bit. I use it with an 18350 and it looks better and doesn't rattle. All in all, it performs as it should and I'm happy with the purchase. I couldn't find a telescope or natural on any of the Chinese supplier sites as they would've been my first choice.
Not run in to any problems with the overseas nic purchases yet. I've ordered 2 lots from HC and they arrived fairly quickly with no hiccups. I've just ordered another lot and it shipped yesterday - will let you know..
What RBA's did you order? I got a couple of the Fasttech DID clones - they are pretty easy to set up and are cheap. I'm also waiting on a couple of the clones from Vaporbreak along with a SS Vamo.
Gotta say though, if you can get your hands on an AGA T2 or +, you'll be amazed what good quality they are, had to get mine sent from the UK, but didn't work out too expensive. Hands down, my favourite piece of kit.

I ended up ordering from Clouds of Vapor, as I recall I've got an igo-l, an aga t2, a protank, a vamo and a telemax on the way, along with some kanthal and 18350 batteries. Still need to find some silica and mesh as they were out of stock. Looking forward to playing with the new toys when they eventually arrive. Hopefully next week I'll have something to smile about.

I'll go check out the HC juices, any recommendations? Currently I use Liqua energy drink as my all day vape, with occasional vanilla and grape to shake things up. I'm considering the totally wicked juices from eciggies as well, but it's pricey.... I wanna grab that mech mod also, so that I can try some low resistance coils in the igo-l.

Those fasttech did clones do look nice, and the fast shipping is always a plus.

Do you perhaps know a place where I can get silica and/or mesh locally? Waiting a month for my stuff to arrive is just crazy, I have no patience

With the HC juices, I get the 100% PG 36mg in 115ml bottles. The flavours I like are, RY4, Caramel Butter and Vanilla cream. I also dabble with the peanut butter and liqourice (in VERY small quantities). As I said, I then add VG from Dischem.
I got the mesh and Kanthal wire from a German seller on Ebay. I've done it twice now (just got some 30awg as it works better for the RBA's). Really cheap and, beleive it or not, both times was in my PO Box within a week!
I'll get the link and PM it to you.
An update on the Fasttech did clones - I gave one to a mate and he tells me the tank's cracking. Picked mine up, and it's done the same! I don't use any corrosive juices. Gonna check to see if a part of a syringe tube can be made to fit, if not, I'd say avoid them.
I'd grab the mech mod if I were you. If you enjoy it, you'll probably order something better down the line, but it does what it should.
I got the Protank from Eciggies this morning. First impressions are good. An airy draw with lots of vapour. Well made and looks good. Running the stock 2.4ohm coils on an Evic at the mo at 7.5w.
