Hey guys im in need of a
Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter.

But where ever i look its sold out. Been trying to test what ohm i been wrapping, but i can seem to find this meter anywhere!

Any tips would help . Thanks ECF!

You can use the Provari. But I think it's better to buy a multimeter. It should be sold in any technical store. Or, you can see for example in SuperT - https://www.supertmanufacturing.com/multimeters.html

From your signature, you have a ProVari, right? The ProVari will check the ohms for you. Hit the button 13 times to get to "AO" on the screen and it'll show the ohms of the connected atty/carto.

Yea.. I just use a Provari.. anything less than .8 will show as "LO" but I don't want to go under .8 anyway. Having a volt meter like the one madvapes sells would be nice but checking ohms with a multimeter is a pain due the the fluctuations. I do use a multimeter to check the charge on my panny batts (they're flat top and the provari won't fire them)

is ther ea place to get a meter that i can just twist my atty on it. Not really all technical about the multi meters.

Like this one Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter

But everywhere i check for one similar to this is sold out....

I bought one just like that some months ago from COV. Piece of junk, it crapped out on me after one hour of use and never gave a consistent Ohm reading when it was working. I might have got a bad one, who knows, but like the others have already posted I picked up a multimeter from Harbor Freight for less than 10 bucks and it works like a charm.

so those meter that you just twist your atty on isnt good? I guess i gotta go with the old fashion way with a mutli? ;p

Honestly you're better off with a DMM. You can literally tailor the length of wire to the resistance you desire. I lay a piece of kanthal across the leads and move the probes around until I get the desired resistance and make a slight bend in the wire to mark the place, then wrap the coil to exactly what I wanted. The slight bends in the wire end up at the terminals of the atty, more or less. Works within 0.1-0.2 ohms.

Plus you can check battery voltage, voltage drop at the terminals, etc.

Ive got 4 multi meters and looking for the black box. I wrote avidvapor and they already got back to me. They said that they are just having trouble keeping up with the demand. No plan for a V2 : (. Oh and they moved the hh357 shop and are trying to get set up for full production. In case anyone wondered. I did.

I still have a Fluke I bought from an electronics supplier back in the 90s for testing work. I never seem to need if much for clearomizers however since I know by the brand and type the ohms with the exception of just a few. That's when I will simply pull out the good ole Fluke!

Dang it. I am on the hunt for the black box too. Now I hear its chicken crap. No wonder, no one has them. Maybe I should wait for the V2.

like everything, there always bad units. but i wouldn't call the one i got from madvapes chicken crap. it's been working great and giving me accurate readings.

Awesome. I started a wanted thread for one. Maybe someone has one that never uses it and will sell it to me.

I had trouble getting clean readings on my EVOD heads with a regular digital meter. Bad technique, no doubt. Anyhow, I ordered one of the pre-wired 510 plugs from madvapes, and am planning on picking up or making a set of alligator clip leads for the meter. I haven't tried it yet, but it should work just fine once I get the plug mounted (and get the wires secured).

Meters are nice to have, even for an amateur like myself.

I simply wanted to grab one fast for a convenience item since I wasn't looking for any pinpoint accuracy but to distinguish from the 1.8, 2.4, 2.8, 3.0ohm clearomiziers since I have a mix as well as a few where no information about the resistance was included in the product information at all for that no matter which vendor they were looked at.

I should have ordered the tester when first seen while ordering a few other things. When going back as well as looking all over the web no one seems to have any in stock! It seems like the demand grew larger then the supply rather quickly for them! Everybody sold out isn't a good thing!
