Where to go from Cig2go?

Picked up a $13 24mg cig2go starter kit and really happy with it so far. I was a bit tepid on the whole E-Cig trend but after about a week of the cig2go I can see how E-Cigs could be a feasible way to quit smoking.

Being a long-term prospective e-cig user my question is: what are the better alternatives to cig2go?

I'm looking specifically for something about the same form-factor (I don't care if its slightly longer than an actual king size cig), lights up when you use it, and doesn't require a push button to work.

Curious to hear your stories.

Your requirements eliminate the vast majority of better models.

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

The only ones that might be better than what you already have is the Bloog or Volt. But the best models have manual batteries (small button) and better batteries which provide much longer battery time, more control, more warmth and more consistency.

I also started on Cig2o about 3 weeks ago and quickly got tired of the battery switching. I bought another battery from Cig2o, bought a used SmokeTips Kit off Craig's list, which is compatible (they are both KR808D-1) and just this week got an Echo automatic kit. I can still use my KR808D-1 cartos on the big batteries (even though it looks dumb) or fill up a giant sized Echo carto that holds 3 ml of liquid. I'm still using a lot of standard cartos and filling with different juices because I haven't really found an all day juice yet. Hope this helps.

The Cig2Go is a KR808D-1. And you can get a KR808D-1 battery in both manual and automatic versions. The newer KR808D-1 batteries are pretty similar in performance whether you go for automatic vs. normal. With the manual battery, it's a slightly easier draw than the automatic. And you can drip on a manual battery. But the automatic doesn't have that button and it lights up when you use it.

Have a look at the Smokeless Image Volt (KR808D-1). Your current charger should work fine, so you probably just want to buy the automatic batteries and maybe some blank cartomizers. The Cig2go cartomizers will work on the Volt batteries, but you might like the Volt cartomizers better. A Bloog was already mentioned but it's basically the same thing at a higher price. (Well, Bloog did all the work of improving quality control at the manufacturer and now that newer system is available from several vendors at better prices. :))

I use Bloog... Manual batteries are a matter of choice -- I just got one today and I think they suck. Your choices (look over the types in the ECF library) are many but somewhat simple as well.

    1) If you want it to look like a cig then use a bloog or volt 808d. I like auto batteries, some like manuals. Depending on your habits you may have to have several batteries and chargers going at all times... (I have 4 but I chain vape)... If that's okay then look into these...
    2) If you don't want to mess with battery changing or don't care what it looks like there are many options--Ego/Rivera/mods... Use the library to help you as well...

What often happens is people want the cig look then get tired of the battery hassle and move up to bigger units with more power. Keep in mind that for the 808ds you will probably need a personal charger (I have two) for parties, events, etc.

Cig2go is KR808D-1 and KR808D-1 is the most popular 2-piece ecig. If you want a slim 2-piece ecig with prefilled cartomizers then there is no better choice.

I do not like auto batteries but the ones from Bloogplanet and SmokelessImage may trigger a bit easier when you drag. Most people here use and recommend manual batteries with the button - they are much less likely to be damaged or killed by juice leaks and when you keep cartos topped off the eliquid, no mater how careful you are, you will occasionally get a bit leaking out the threaded end, right where you can damage an auto battery. Manuals also make it easier to get a good hit since you can press in the button 1-2 seconds before you start your drag and have nice vapor waiting.

Use decent carto blank or prefills and top them off with eliquid to get many days use out of each carto. I find thin clear juices give me the longest good performance out of a carto.

Since KR808D-1 is a real 3.7v slim mini, the next step up is to a fat battery model or mod w/ 450mah+ batteries (typically 650mah+) so those provide long battery life and the option to use hotter LR parts. The most variety of blank carto types especially LR stuff is available for 510 threading but few prefilled cartos are available for 510 threading.

The step up above that is to variable voltage mods like Provari.

Halocigs.com has a G6 that you can get automatic batteries in a smaller size. I got my kit today and got the longer batteries and right out of the box without the initial 8 hour primer wall charge recommended my battery lasted 3.5 hours of pretty constant vaping. The smaller battery would need re-charge a little sooner than the larger one, but these G6 batteries are supposed to have a really good charge life in comparison to other small e-cigs.

HaloCigs is another KR808D-1. You should find it's just like a Volt or a Bloog. You might like the prices from Smokeless Image, though. There are 3 battery lengths. If you go with the longest, you get noticeably longer battery life. If you currently have or were looking at a PCC though, the long batteries will only fit in the KR808D-1 XL PCC.

I started with a Volt from smokelessimage.com and I'm sticking with that "style" (the KR808D-1 style) for public use so as to not draw too much attention.
If you intend to use it a lot at home then I would recommend getting either an eGo-T model or a box mod since you wouldn't need to drip so much, just fill a cart tank or small 6mL bottle with juice and go.

Also, read these forums a LOT, especially the reviews. I spent a week reading and researching before finally settling on what I wanted to buy.
Now I've gone whole hog and haven't touched an analog since the day I got my first kit.
I'm also planning on slowly weaning myself off nicotine by starting out with 12mg, then going down to 6mg, then finally down to 0mg juices.

Because when the zombie apocalypse hits, I don't want to be addicted to any chemicals or drugs. ;)

I found a thread with a review of the G6 that was posted in this forum. The person doing the review had actually gotten a Volt as well and he talks in this thread that he found the G6 to be better than the Volt in performance. So apparently there is some kind of difference between the G6 and the Volt, although I have no idea what it is.

Same form factor there is nothing better because as far as I know Cig2o and Cig2go are KR808D-1, the most popular 2-piece model and a real 3.7v slim ecig. You can also get cartos at vapor4Life, Smokeless Image, Halocigs (G6), Bloogplanet

The only upgrade to KR808D-1 itself is manual batteries if you have auto (manuals are much less likely to be damaged or killed by juice leaks and make it easier to get a good hit), and soft cap cartos you can add juice to if yours have hard or glued on caps. Many people use the Vapor4Life blanks and the SmokelessImage and Bloogplanet blanks, as well as prefills from those. if your batteries are the short ones (w/ carto under 110mm) you could get the standard batteries - about 78mm, 120mm w/ carto, for 60-70% more charge.

After that the only direction is to fat battery models like Ego and Riva 510 (or if you really want to use KR808D-1 cartos, the Riva 901 model at Liberty-Flights.com can use many KR808D-1 cartos with no adapter needed) (note the Riva 901 sold by other vendors may be a different model without a slotted battery post which will need an adapter for more KR808D-1 cartos). The other upgrade option is mods - various shape ecigs of 3.7 or variable voltage w/ removable industrial batteries.

I started with a Cig2O kit and I found that when I ordered a spare batt (I think it was from vaporkings) it was a lot better. Better vape and lasted longer. You might try just ordering a spare 808 bat and get better performance. I got one of the blingy ones chrome with a white led but many styles are available. Any KR808d-1 should work with your charger and carts.

I just started vaping a few days ago. I purchased 2 units and one of them was cig2go. I must say cig2go is a decent intro to vaping!! In the very near future I plan on purchasing g6, and lavatube or a volt. I haven't smoked an analog since 2004!! I tried a time or two but gagged me!! I have been addicted to patches, gum , and lozenges. have turned to the vapors to cut back...
