if you DIY and buy bulk, you can keep them in the fridge. I just keep larger bottles in a bottom drawer and ration off anything I am going to use within a week into smaller bottles and store them in my tackle box with the rest of my gear.
If you have a large amount - it's best to place them in a ziploc bag in the back of the fridge. Ziplocs prevent moisture build up and you can write dates on them and stuff.
Once a bottle is opened - it should be used in the shortest time possible - to keep all the ingredients fresh and prevent nic from degrading after exposure to air.
If you don't use a bottle within a month or two - best to seal it tightly - throw it back in the Ziploc and leave it in the back of the fridge.
If you have a mixed VG/PG mix - warm the bottle in your hands a bit before using (or put closed in a bowl of very hot water for 10 minutes or so). VG tends to get thicker in cold storage than PG and some liquids will be too viscous to use after too long in the fridge.
If have only a small number of bottles though that you're using regularly.... best to keep them away from heat sources and keep the cap on tight between uses. A bottle used within a month or so will remain quite fresh.

I use to keep them in the fridge but I found if they are cold they is little to no flavor. So I started to keep them in a desk organizer drawer in the kitchen away from little fingers.

There will be lots of arguments about storing juice in the fridge, but no one will argue about a cool, dark place like a cupboard.

I store some of my juice on a bottom shelf in my room, some in my closet and then the rest is in a suitcase .... I have heard conflicting stories about storing juice in the fridge, so I am very hesitant to try this.
