Where'd the flavor go?!

A little background: I've been vaping a little over a year now. Started on a simple 510 pen-style then moved over to the eGo-T. Been using that for that past 9-10 months approximately. Well, recently I branched out, trying ejuice other than my normal "USA Blend" cheapy stuff, and picked up some Smoktech/CCV 1.7 "Resurrector" cartos. I used eGo-T attys up until this time. Today I really noticed something that has been bothering me for the past week or so using the cartos- Flavor is disappearing. I never noticed this with the attys. Why just today, I got a new shipment of Boba's Bounty and promptly loaded up a carto. For the first three hours or so I was able to enjoy the full flavor of my Boba's without incident. Then, it's just like the flavor disappears. I've noticed this with 2 of my other 4 cartos i've used since I got them. Within the first day or so the flavor just goes away- I might as well be vaping flavor-free juice. I'm really irritated and want taste! I've pondered the fact that it might be me- I still help myself to 2-4 analogs per day, but I dont think it's me. I've tired eating stuff, drinking stuff and even waiting hours between vapes to see what happens. The first draw is decent on flavor, but each subsequent vape is just about flavorless. Is it the cartos? Am I just using defective cartos? What causes cartos to "lose the flavor" as I've read around the forums? I'm really frustrated, 'casue I have 15 more of these darn things to go through and don't feel like buying anything else. Just now, I vaped the carto nearly dry that i've been using since about 5:00pm today, refilled it with Boba's and..... No flavor!! I can "smell" a hint of flavor by exhaling through the nose, but taste almost nothing. I'm really put off about this, now that the packages containing all my sample size ejuice flavors are arriving and I can't enjoy them for more than an hour or two. I have a few attys on the way- If I get flavor, it's not me. In the meantime, can anyone suggest what might be the problem?

What is the PG/VG ratio of Boba's Bounty. If it's high VG, could be the problem. Dark, high VG juice will clog a carto coil very quickly, and therefore degrade the flavor and/or vapor.

If you have some lighter juice, with say, at least 50% PG, give that a try.

I have had pretty good luck with the Resurrectors and lighter colored juices, but RY4 definitely shortens the life span. I'm talking about days tho, not hours.

Well... I was sure hoping to get a bit more feedback on this. But anyways, I'm playing with it on my own here. I went back to the carto filled with Bobas and I have full flavor. About 5-6 vapes into it the flavor goes away. I did load two new cartos with some 50/50 mix juices but to be honest I haven't been able to vape them for very long- Flavors not all too great so far. I don't know, seems it might just be me. As far as the VG gunking up the coils, unless a mild gunk can affect flavor, I'm still getting great vapor and no symptoms at all of a gunked up coil.

Cartos do not like undiluted VG liquids.

Cartos are meant for 1 to 2 refills

Your cartos have clogged up regardless of the time you have vaped them. When a carto wanes, that is when the carto is spent, and needs replacing.

Some folks will offer different advice as cartos lasting longer, the truth is, your experience has taught you when they require disposal.

This is just a long shot, but are you adding juice to the carto every so often? Maybe it's just running a little dry. The VG is thick, so it doesn't wick to the coil as fast as a thinner juice.

If you are going 3 hours without topping off as you said in your first post, you need to add some more juice. Not a lot, but about 4 drops. Depending on how much you use it, you may need to drop a few drops in more often. Look at the filler. When it's very dry, add some juice.

That will keep the juice flowing better to the coil.

I know the Resurrectors can hold 2ml, but you still need to top them off several times a day.

My cartos are always wet. I work from home and don't spend much time away from my supplies so I frequently give them fresh drops as the day goes on. I have yet to run one even to the point where it starts to taste dry.

So far, in my personal experience, I have yet to have a wicking problem with VG juice. I've never taken a dry hit or had it start to taste dry using VG. When I vape, I tend to take 4 or 5 hits before I put it down.

Switched, how can it be that a carto is spent after a few hours of vaping, when the flavor seems to go? Even 4-5 days after going into use, it starts making its noise the instant the button fires and vapor production is just as good as the day it was new. When I wake up, or spend long periods of time not using it the flavor is there. How can this be a carto that has gone bad? Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. But it seems that frequent use (possibly of just VG juice) tend to reduce the cartos' ability to produce flavor along with the vapor. I don't know enough about physics or anything to give any rational theory as to why this might be, but that's just how it seems to me.

Thanks for the replies.
