Hey Everyone! I recently jumped on the Ikenvape band wagon, I have a few concerns however.

I'm a little disappointed in the flavor I'm getting out of the LR 810mini and LR 510's I recently ordered. The vapor production is amazing, however it takes quite a pull to get these things hot enough to produce a warm mellow hit.

The LR 810 Mini: produces more vapor than even the 510, however it's often very harsh and has a tendency to burn your liquid on a long draw. Almost tastes like hot metal even 3 weeks after I began using it (Looks really slick however, nice work on the build quality guys!)

The LR 510: Excellent vapor production, hits hard every time and I'm a heavy vaper! The flavor of my liquid is very dull however, none of the sweet warm flavors come through, I've also found that I get more splash back ( hot liquid droplets coming through my tip) with these atomizers than any other I have used. Another thing is the draw is very open, it's almost too easy to pull, there just isn't enough resistance. Again, excellent quality on the build of the atomizer, you can tell it's solid before you even use it.

I'm using a super clean p18, so it's not my device. What gives? I might have to sell my unopened 510s which makes me really sad, because the customer service I received goes a LONG way with me, and it was best in class.

Thanks everyone!

Just a note, this isn't an Ikenvape bash, I really enjoy doing business with you guys!

Can't answer for the 510 as I haven't tried Isaac's but I am not a fan of 510 LRs anyway.

With the mini sounds to me like it is too dry, they are juice hogs. 8 drops to prime and 2-3 every time flavour goes away. Something someone else mentioned, drip after you hit. Therefore the PV is ready and saturated when you hit it. I take 2-3 sec pulls and I almost gag. Slow and easy is key :) Another pointer, hit the button prior to hitting your lips e.g on the way up to your lips. You won't believe the difference.

As long as the build hasn't changed...I have alot of experience with the 801 minis. They are the best out there,hands down. I haven't gotten anything in quite some time though..just cant compete with the popularity, (stock flies out the door).

Switched is spot on though with his advice. They are definitely juice hogs,I too would say "dry". Don't worry about flooding the 801 mini....its nearly impossible and more is better any way. I do miss the minis for there flavor....:(

Switched...hope all is goin well with your project....wish you all the best...maybe I will get lucky on one...but...I sorta doubt it..:(

(On the 810) I'm priming with 7 drops, and 3 drops when it starts tasting like i'm smoking burnt juice, still no flavor :(

On the 510, I have to let it roast a bit before I get a hint of flavor, otherwise the vapor tasted like air and I need to really get it going to get a lung full.
:facepalm:

Slow down my man Turbo,
no reason to have say goodbyes just yet.
3 weeks ago. Was this new liquid at the time by any chance? If you wouldn't mind, I would like to conduct a small test with some of my liquid. I would be more than happy to send you out a sample to run through the atties.
I really appreciate the good words Gee man and just want to try to look out for ya

Totally the opposite for me, best dang Atty's on the market by far, could it be the Mod your using Turbo, in fact what are you using ???? I run all of these Attys and by far they are the BEST !

I don't believe the mod to be an issue here. I believe the vaping style might be the culprit.

I was talking to Isaac just the other day about the eGo T and he was surprised when I stated that it performs as well if not better than his atties. This in no way was a slam about his product as folks know I get all my needs satisfied here. No, it was intended as a statement where Isaac found little satisfaction with the T system, and will give it another whirl. Now I know the reviews are varied wrt the eGo T but outside of one juice clogging the atty after 9 days, after a quick flush the unit is performing strong going on 2 months. Same atty same two tanks. O ordered two attys and have yet to try the second one, maybe I'll be disappointed in that one.

@Iken I'm using your delicious RY4 (Vg) my friend :) .. And by the way this isn't goodbye, I'll exhaust every option before I give up!

I think personally, I'm just a hot atty 1.5 vaper, it's been over a year since I've used any other Ohm and I'm struggling to adjust. Also, im having trouble finding the ikenvape sweet spot with the drops : drag ratio.

If you'd like to PM me I can give you my order number and you can take a look, I'll also let you know what juices I've been running in your 801/510

I have a feeling that you will not be disappointed with the second one, it seems like the ego-t system works great for certain vaping styles and do not for others. They do not work for my vaping style but a highly regarded friend on this forum has had great success with them. I think that is what you were getting at in your post but wanted to back that up with my experience as well.

@TurboJesus, I would definitely try a different liquid, that is my best suggestion.

Yup! That is what I was getting at. We had a meet last month and folks could not believe the performance of my equipment, including the eGo T, especially with 100% VG liquids. They wanted to know my cleaning method. I don't clean! That floored them.

Vaping style 2-3 x 3sec hits successively then I put in down for a minute or so, and repeat 2-3 times in a session. After supper during coffee I usually hit it pretty constant.

As much as I like a good hit from an 801, they are too touchy for my vaping style - I found them to always be too wet or too dry. I would go from a gurgly wet hit to a burnt dry one on the very next draw lol

I know it's not the atties, it's the way I vape, as I've tried different brands and resistances, same deal.

The 510 on the other hand works very well for me, as does the 306. 2Ω is my sweet spot so I'm thankful for Isaac's choice! As everyone should know, no 2 atties are the same, even if they're the same brand/resistance. The one I'm using now is excellent, though I found the draw a little tight so I unscrewed it 1/4 turn, problem solved.

Don't expect 801 flavor from a 510, I believe they're built for TH, TH, and more TH. The 801 imho works best with a feed tube up its .....

Yup!

801= vapour, flavour
510 = vapour TH
901 = all three

I've found atomizers are a lot like children. Some turn out fine no matter what you do to 'em. Some are turds no matter how much you love 'em.

Funny analogy :) I find this to be the case too.

Vaping style seems to make a difference too. 510s have never worked well for me, yet for so many folks it's da bomb. Others get cartos to work for them for weeks, every carto I've ever tried has tasted like a rank sock after 3 days (but i still haven't tried the IKV LR cartos).
