which DNA 30 boxes either original or clone, are easy to slide a new DNA 40 into?

With the dna 40, you can clip off the mounting holes and it will be the same size as the DNA 30. It won't slide in, though, you'll have to de-solder the wires off of the 30 and solder them onto the 40.
This is probably the best all around solution out there right now if you dont mind the Hana box form factor. No idea where Desire ships from though, so could take awhile to get it.
Box, chip sled, battery sled, cheap tact buttons, and a cheap 510 and some useless wires for ~$21. Nice thing is the sled also secures the charger too supposedly(watch the video).
DIY HANNA MODZ BOX CASE( with DNA Chip Holder)
Discard the 510 connector and go with a fatdaddy or varitube unit if you go this route. Both of them sell the drill/tap to install it. You will be much happier in the long run.
I will have to machine this case or the FastTech one to accommodate the new larger display though (DNA 40 ver 4)

Evolv still makes the small screen DNA40. You don't have to make a larger slot. It's a tradeoff. Bigger screen vs. no cutting.

also, who make a great large fire button and the best battery holder?
