I am considering ordering a Riva 510 soon but unsure of what too get carto or cart. It seems the carto would be less hassle?

Also, can I use a drip tip with a 510?

If I get the USB pass through can I vape while its charging on the computer?

So many e-cigs, so very confusing, makes me feel kind of dumb. Geeezzzzzz......

Thanks

Cartomizers most definitely, less hassle and they hold more juice. Carts don't hold much liquid, you have to refill all the time or top them off to keep the filler from burning and that's when they are wicking well which they often don't.

Yes you can use a drip tip with a carto. I use a drip tip all the time even when not dripping. I just like the feel of them better.

If you're talking about a EGO/USB type battery then yes, you can vape on the battery while it's charging.

Atomizers mute the flavor and can sometimes have a metalic/polyfill taste...carts suck because they do not wick well enough...dripping into a atty will provide best TH flavor and vapor imo. If you don't want to drip then next best flavor/TH/vapor is a ce2 or ce3.

I am dripping now with the atty and it is a good flavor but I have to keep refilling constantly and it gets aggravating to do so.

So you are saying you get less flavors with cartos? Another thing that concerns me about cartos is the filling gets burnt and that just seems wrong, maybe toxic?

Yes if you burn the filling it is way worse than smoking a analog cigarette and does indeed mute the flavor because the vapor has to travel through the polyfill. It's worth it to drip 3-4 drops in a atty get about 5-10 good hits and redrip...as I said the next best thing to dripping imo is Ce2s if you know how to use them.

I like attys better only because I can't taste the flavor with cartos. If I could, I would probably use cartos. If you can, try both and see what you like.

I don't think carts(not cartos) are as much of a hassle as people make them out to be. But, they also mute the flavor for me, so I don't use them. Lots of fun ways to mod your carts to hold more liquid= less dripping. yesterday I did the one where you remove 3/4 of the filling and was able to vape quite awhile before it ran dry. it just did not taste as good as direct dripping

also, for me, I still had to drip in my cartos fairly often to keep them wet to avoid them getting dry and burning. so, really, attys are not that much more work

and, its much easier to try new flavors or switch flavors on an atty. With a carto you have to invest a good ml or 2 of your juice, and then if you don't like it? you are stuck with a carto full.

I love the TH and flavor from dripping. When I started I too thought that dripping was a pain but after trying atty/carts and a variety of cartomizers I know that dripping is my favorite. I do use cartomizers when driving so that I don't have to drip n drive.

I recommend every person try each type (dripping, carts & cartomizer) and decide which you prefer. I definitely have preferences on the cartomizers also. The Ce2s are good and we really like them.

Ok I checked out the Ce2 and it sure looks interesting. I see it also has an adapter to fit the 510, which is good. From what I can tell in the picture it looks like a drip trip attached to a large container ( wrong word ). I'll have to gather some more info on this but it just may solve my problem. Thanks for the tip.....

So that would be the EgoT? I am kind of new to all of this and just trying to figure it out before I invest more money.

No, he is talking about a carto tank

I never use the cartridges that came with my Riva. I only used cartridges with my first little ecig because there was nothing else for it.

I use cartomizers for my favorite liquids. They keep my flavors totally separate from each other, not mixed in an atty. Every carto is a fresh atty coil. No washing atomizers. And a carto won't suddenly decide to dump 1/2 its juice in my mouth or pocket. I use juices that work well with my cartos and get 7-10 days use out of each (which is 2-3 weeks since I vape 2 cartos, each 1/2 the time). I like to vape 2 contrasting flavors so cartos work well for me. For thicker juices or occasional juices I like, I drip (on a sealed manual battery) but 95% of my vaping is on cartos.

Is that a drip tip in the picture? So I just fill up that tank with juice and attach to the 510 and vape away, I think this is the right product for me.

I can also get some carts, cartos and try everything and see what works best. Yep that what I am going to do, some of everything but I really like the looks of the Ce2

Thanks to all for the advice.....

CE2 looks great but they can crack and fall apart, leak, and may need tedious screwing with to get them to vape right (you may need to remove the seals and trim the notches the slightest bit bigger if the wicks won't wick right. Bur some like them.

The new CE3 aka Smokymizer aka Deluxe Fluxomizer at Gotvapes removes the cracking and falling apart but may still leak from what I hear.

Whichever, remember to buy the syringe.

    ----

And re burnt cartos up there - so what. It's usually cotton around the coil and if you keep them damp then they don't singe and the only black is the charred juice residue, especially with juices that have flavoring sediment that remains in the stuffing.

I use thin clear juices and keep my cartos damp and a week later my cotton still goes white. If I overfill, clear liquid comes out the other end, not liquid filled with charred particles.
