I came across and e cig at a gas station while I was buying my daily pack of cigs when I looked over and saw an e-cig for 12.99. I was very curious about it and asked the cashier some questions but he told me to just read the back of the box. I didn't of course. I just came home and started doing some research. I watched a few youtube videos and read a few discussions on this forum and so far I am up in the air about which e-cig to get.

From the reviews I watched on youtube it seems like a dse 901 would be a good one because they said it gets a lot of vapor(which is what i want.) Another one I read about on this forum was the titan 501 and that one seems legit as well. So those 2 are the ones at the top of my list right now but I am still trying to get some personal experienced opinions from others.

I don't really know what to look for or ask for when I ask for help finding an e-cig because I have no experience with them. I want to ask which is the best one to get but I know there will be many different opinions on which the "best" one is.

Ok so what I do know is that I want something that produces a lot of vapor. I do not care about how it looks as long as it isn't feminine. Well, I guess I do care, now that I think about it.

My price range is around $100. So please be gentle xD

Thank you all for your time in reading this little page.

ps: some links to some products would be very appreciated as well if that is possible. ^_^

Titan 510 is just rebranded. I suggest going with either an ego or riva kit from liberty-flights.com. While you're there, get a drip tip and a box of cartomizers (Boge brand) in either resistance. Low resistance will produce a warmer vapor while regular resistance will be a cooler vapor. Low resistance is any resistance lower than 2.8ohm. Also, get some various liquids from 18-24mg in flavors that would interest you. I don't care for liberty-flight's juices but their hardware is good.

The little slim 510 cig size is nice, you'll find yourself recharging constantly. It's becomes a PITA. The ego and riva last most folks 6-8 hours on a 650mah battery. They are the size of a sharpie marker..maybe a hair smaller but the battery life is worth it. I quit smoking using the slim 510 but within 2 weeks, I quickly upgraded.

couldn't agree more. The ego is by far the best starter kit. I have 4 or 5 of them now

I also have a reo grand, some thing to upgrade too.

as for juice, hit alien visions juice website. Havana gold is my ADV, but lots of people scream about bobos bounty and gorila juice.

goo luck, you came to the right website.

this was my first kit the price is frickin awsome and the 1000mh batt lasts about 18hrs for me befor i need to recharge: myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The Joye510 Electronic Cigarette thats the batt im using right now:vapor:

i also have there standard 510 kit as well for when I'm gaming and driving:myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The Joye510 Electronic Cigarette

however i would get some genuine Joye cartridges as well cuz the ones in there kits leak. you can also get cartomizers so you wont have to refill as often.

also check out madvapes for juice cuz there prices are cheep and the juice is great

if you get a ego kit you wont need a PCC due to there extra long batt life.

if you want more vapor then find/order VG juice. VG based juice produces more vapor than standard PG base juice

You're right in that everyone will have an opinion on the "best" to start with. :D

I will just tell you that I started with the Go-Go, after doing much research here. I chose it because I liked the way it looked, and wasn't bothered that it is thicker than a "pen-style" (roughly cigarette sized) PV. It comes with 2 batteries a charger and 5 cartomizers. I prefer the cartomizer over the atomizer/cartridge combo as it's fewer pieces to deal with, and more disposable. There's a lot of good information on them here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3-go-go-specific-thread-all-things-go-go.html

And here is a good vendor from whom to order a kit:

Go-goUSA.com | Go-goUSA.com

There are several colors, but those are stainless steel and a little more expensive. The basic black is what I got, and I think it's amazing. The batteries will last 1.5-2 days as they are 1300mah, and the cartos are 3ml, and also will last 1-2 days, all depending on how heavily you vape. These things produce GREAT vapor too, even with PG heavy blends, which I prefer at this point.

For juice, there are more vendors than you can shake a stick at. Everyone has favorites; madvapes is a great vendor, though I've not tried their juices. Check the vendors on this forum as they are registered, and have to pass some muster to be so. I personally like KBV (KickBassVapor E-Liquid), although they are currently offline to catch up on orders. There are several as I said, and it will take time to find the right flavors/vendors for you.

Good luck on your journey, and of course let the forum know any questions/experiences you'd like to share! :vapor:

Ty guys for your help. I am really starting to narrow down what I want. I have a few more questions though =[ . I am currently looking at the Joye Ego T. Is that version just as good as the regular Joye Ego if not better?

For better understanding of what I am talking about go to this link myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The Joye510 Electronic Cigarette

I am interested in the 2 black ones but will only buy one of those depending on the feedback I get from here.

Also I would like to purchase atleast a month's worth of supplies. What will I need and how many will I need? To get a general rule of thumb, I smoke about 2 cartons a month, estimating about 1 and a half packs per day. I realize I am spending too much money on cigarettes. I would like to hopefully split that cost in half with ecigs.

Which Starter Kit should I get and what other things should I get? At this point I am not concerned about price but more of the quality and quantity that I will have for a month.

Thank you all for all the help thus far and i hope to hear from you all soon.

Hey!

So I personally don't have one, but lord would I like to upgrade to one.. The Ego. If you'd like to get everything in one stop check out Vapors Etc. They have *amazing* customer service, good juices and good prices! I'd grab a starter kit, some extras and some juice for now. I keep hearing crappy things about the Ego-T producing less than acceptable amounts of vapor and leaking :/ If you have any questions, Ross (owner of Vapors Etc) is really good about answering them ;)

Ego Starter Kit, Vapors Etc

Vapor Juice, Vapors Etc

Ego/Ego-T, Vapors Etc

Good luck!

Edit: Your reply showed up after I posted... I'd reccomend getting at least 24mg nicotine- maybe a bottle of 36 for those stressful times.

The only real difference in the eGo and the eGo-T is the fluid delivery. The "T" stands for Tank. If you order a ego T system, you get atomizers/tanks with it. Otherwise, you normally get cartomizers with it. The batteries are the same, so you can change the fluid delivery around. When I bought mine, I got tanks/atomizers, but I also got cartomizers. And now I'm using EMDCC's, which is what I've found that I like best. None of these are particularly expensive, and no matter which you use, sooner or later all will have to be replaced. So try one or everything at first, see what you like, then stock up a little on whatever you like best.

The eGo (and eGo-T) normally has a 650 mah battery. If you are a heavy smoker, I'd recommend getting their larger 1000 mah battery. You'll get the same vape out of them either way, but the 1000 mah batteries will last longer between charges. And they aren't much more expensive at all.

The EMDCC's can be found here.
eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Flat-Tip

You'll find there is a learning curve. The people here on the forums are very helpful, so just ask away, the answers will come.

I jumped in about 3 weeks ago. My first unit is the eGo-T in Green. I love it but have nothing to compare it to. Very easy to use with the manual battery which I did not think I would like, but love it and see the advantage over an auto battery now. I got the 1000 mAh and I have not recharged it yet. I only vape a few times a day right now so the battery is overkill for me. They substituted the larger battery because the smaller was out of stock and running out of battery is not a problem yet. I do want to get some clear cartomizers and a whistle tip so I can carry some extra flavors to change out during the day while away from home. I think you will be happy with the Ego.

The eGos are way better than the minis but, I think you can do better. Consider going with something that takes a generic battery. That is a battery that isn't proprietary to the device. If you like the eGo styling, look at the epower. If you really don't care about styling and a few months down the road you probably won't consider the roughstack. Both are available at madvapes and both use generic batteries that are not proprietary. They also have other advantages. Whatever you get pick up a box of cartomizers, a few atomizers, a drip tip, and maybe some dual coil cartomizers. That should come in at under $100 either way.

Don't forget that, if you find that vaping is for you, you will need backups for everything including batteries and chargers.

I was pretty much in the same boat as you when I started. Luckily a friend led me to myvaporstore.com where I got my KR808D-1 starter kit, it only cost 32.50 and works really good. You can do alot with vaping with 100 bucks. Whatever kind you get, I recommend getting a passthrough and a pcc, and of course blanks and few juices.

If you wanted a skinny e-cig the size of a cigarette and/or the simplicity and convenience of prefilled cartomizers, I'd suggest the Kr8 model, specifically the Smokeless Image VOLT. When you are out and about (away from a wall outlet or USB port), you will need a PCC for it, thus my link to the $65 Pro Starter Kit.

However, if, as you say, you are open to something slighter fatter - and don't mind filling blank cartomizers with e-liquid (which you'll wind up doing soon anyway) - then indeed the fat batts are the way to go. I recommend the Riva-510 over the Joye eGo. It is less expensive, higher mAh (750 vs. 650), and higher voltage (3.7V vs. 3.2V). With mAh in this range you really don't need a PCC. Just bring an extra battery with you. And Liberty-Flights has the best deal: $30 for a complete kit. [I didn't know about that october20 discount code (seems strange for the month of September), but click on the "20% Discount" icon in the upper left of the screen to see the same reduced price.]

eGO-in-hand.jpg

Or ... my Vaping Guides partner, CyberWolf, has discovered (and reviewed) an intriguing alternative: the $27 T-Rex Carto Deluxe Kit from e-Vape. Its mAh and voltage are the same as the eGo, but this kit comes with a neat carrying case and five Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers (among the very best), rather than two attys that you might never use.

t-rex_kit_open_lit_01500.jpg

Whatever kit (i.e., batteries and charger) you buy, get cartomizers! IMO they are far superior to tanks and certainly to atomizers used with cartridges ... and they require much less frequent effort that direct dripping. I've already mentioned the Boge 2.0 (e.g., from MadVapes). Other excellent ones are the Smok Tech Mega Dual Coil (e.g., from LiteCigUSA) and Smok Tech 1.7 ohm Mega Single Coil ("Resurrector" from Crystal Clear Vaping). The Resurrectors work very well at 3.2V (or 3.7), but I find I need at least 3.7V for the Dual Coils. [NOTE: The linked suppliers are examples of those with the lowest prices.]

All that having been said, my current favorite PV is the $50 Elite 808 from CigEasy, which I recently reviewed. This slender beauty is slightly larger (in size and mAh) than the standard Kr8, but much slimmer (and with half the mAh) than the Riva. What I love about it is the outstanding VTF (pbusardo's acronym for vapor, TH, and flavor). It's shown here above the standard Kr8.

ELITE-4-1.jpg

Most important is the e-liquid you put into these things ... but that vast arena is a topic unto itself.

Enjoy the adventure!

My cousin called me up a few weeks ago wanting to quit smoking with an e-cig (on a $100 budget). My advice was pretty much the same as hairball's: A Riva 510 kit and a pack of Boge low resistance cartomizers, which left a good amount of money for him to try out different juices. I've tried the tanks, and have to agree with Don - cartomizers are a lot better than tanks. Tanks give weaker, less flavorful hits, and it's just a matter of time before they start giving you burnt, crappy tasting hits.

(If I had known of the T-Rex Deluxe Carto Kit for $27 that Don pointed out, I might have recommended that to my cousin).

Since your Q was "Which e-cig and what accessories do i need to get the best taste and most vapor", and not which starter kit is the best, I'm going to address this a little differently.

For a secondary device, this IMHO should be in everyones arsonal.
5 VOLT USB PASS THROUGH (REQUIRES SUFFICIENT POWER SOURCE)
Coupled with a SR 3 ohm Boge carto this little $10 device is hard to beat when you are stuck at your desk, or behind the wheel in your car.

That said, absolutly nothing beats direct dripping. However direct dripping is a learned art. You will need to learn how to modify and maintain your atomizers, how to use a drip tip and drip shield. When you need to drip again, (without getting that bad burnt taste) how much to drip, how to keep raw juice away from your mouth. The list just goes on and on.

As for which atty is best for dripping ... pick one, any one, and learn how to use it. Right now I am using one of the atties that came in my very first starter kit. It probably has enough miles on it to get to the moon and back, and my keyboard can still get lost in the cloud of vapor.

Seems like many get lost is what mod or battery is best, forgetting that is only one small component of what makes for good vaping. Learning how to get the most out of whatever you are using is more important than what you are using.

Never forget to do backups. Some of us have backups for our backups. Alternate power source going into fall and winter is a biggie. Make sure you not only have chargers, but backup chargers in case one blows. I always make sure I have a car charger for my chargers because if the electricity goes out, I can take it out to the car and let it charge for a while. No matter how cheap or expensive the PV you choose, none of them will work unless you can charge them.

This is a biggie, I'm just placing a order for one, not just for winter, but summer storms, my vote would be for the Riva lite bundle from LF, gives you plenty of room to try juices, cartomizers and the battery life is excellent. HTH
