Leaving out the facts is what the Media does to sensationalize incidents and I will not leave out posted factual information when trying to make a point. Battery Safety 101 and charging temperatures is good reading, just Google it.
Sorry, my comment really wasn't funny to start with, but having to explain a non-funny joke is, well, kinda embarrassing. I was only suggesting that any closed car on a Hot Florida Summer day might not be a good idea, even when not charging anything. I know, not funny at all. Carry on please...

Your good man don't sweat it but I will never leave out relative information when trying proving a point but we are only feeding the under the bridge dwellers post like @BackDoc pointed out and if I use the word @bellastarr used I would probably get a reprimand.

I guess its possible to blow up any device using usb 3 not sure but believe it is capable of 5a current where usb 2 is 2a current. Manufactures include a usb cables for a reason. That is the only cable you're suppose to use. The premium 18650 batteries are rated to handle a 4a quick charge or at least mine are.

I'm kind of surprised everyone is taking this so lightly.

I agree it's probably a troll and fake. But, this is the internet's biggest vaping forum. People get here by googling key words looking for advice or information.

I'd be worried someone googles: "do e-cigarettes explode" or "are smok vapes safe". They could end up here and instead of getting an explanation that (1) this is impossible or (2) what could have caused this; they'll get a bunch of people drilling on a guy telling him it's user error.

If I saw that my take away would be that vaping is too complicated and not worth blowing my face up over.

While the active userbase here is kind, understanding, and responsible; we're not on an island. We're citizens on the internet and we have people looking up to us for advice.

Imagine if this was real and the media came to the forum to find quotes they can paste infront of millions of people.

The OP should try the new Joyetech's Imploder THX. if the battery vents, the whole mod shrinks into a compact ball with a density greater than lead. The only downside is if it happens in your pocket is it's intense gravity's tendency to pull things into it like car keys, lighters, pens, testicles.

It may or may not be true. Probably not but...

If it were me and I was called a numbnut, troll, faker etc. right away,
    I don’t think I’d come back.

Leaving things charging or on is something I never do. Every device is off if I’m not around but some people do it constantly.
I don’t even like the tv being left on. Apart from a terrible waste of lots of things it can also be dangerous.
I had to constantly go into my old flat mates room and turn the tv off.
Even my mum & dad sometimes leave their phones and iPads charging while they’re asleep!!!!
Obviously they are repeatedly informed of the possible dangers and I regularly put on my fire safety helmet and check everything before I go sleep.
Edit; what a bundle of joy I am to live with ;)

I’m moving out soon so I may have to set up a security camera for the sockets.

    I worry a lot

I purchased a Smoke Vape Pen 22 and last night, while I left it charging it exploded and burned a five square foot area in my carpet. I am afraid to vape anymore after that happened. Can anyone suggest a simple vape kit that is definitely safe and don't have to worry about blowing up?

Why would you leave your device on the floor to charge?
