Hi All
You have all been so helpful it's a pleasure to be on this forum.

I having been using an Aspire Tigon so far, which i plan on keeping for MTL with the 1.2 coil, I just don't think it's great on DL, with the 0.4 coil. I enjoy both MTL and DL which may seem strange to some. I also use a smok Novo in the car, Atlanta traffic sucks.

My question is, moving on, which Mod to buy? I am not (yet anyway) chasing huge clouds but want something that gives a nice hit, i am currently using 6mg of nicotine, planning on going to 3 soon. I am not that experienced yet and would like something not to complicated but also not a 'toy' if you know what i mean. Prefer external batteries, I think, don't care about brand, or looks too much, or size (that's what she said) it's got to carry a fair size tank as i work long hours.

Any help much appreciated.

Well brand should matter as some are better than others and you don't want to waste money on a poorly built mod. What kind of work do you do? There are some nice mods out there built for use in tough working environments so sealed for stuff like dust, water, and drop protection. The tradeoff is they're bulkier so if you don't need that there are other choices. Also what's you budget?

You didn't mention which mod you're currently using, but I'll assume it is the Tigon stick mod with the 2800 mah internal battery capable of 28 watts. Did I assume correctly?

My stock answer to such questions these days is the Geekvape Aegis Solo kit that comes with the Cerberus sub-ohm tank. Single 18650 regulated Variable Wattage mod capable of 100 watts. Dustproof, waterproof, and shockproof. It will be much more pocket-friendly than what you have now.

The Cerberus tank is a 25mm diameter tank which has a 5.5 ml liquid capacity.

GeekVape Aegis Solo with Cerberus Starter Kit
List Price: $59.99

Anything but smok.
The mod has less to do with how it Vapes then the tank though. I'm guessing you're still looking for drop in cool type gear, so I will defer to experts, but I hear great things about the fireluke mesh, but there are a few models with similar names.
As for which mod, choosing one that has more than enough power to fire your choice of coil, and batteries that hit that mark also is most important. Most coils work well below their recommend range too though. If you're not looking for big clouds, anything 80w should be fine, so the go to recommendation for that around here is the aegis solo. You'll want 25A batteries, at least, as they'll get 75w.

Work indoors managing production facility so tough does really apply although always good to have and budget is under $100 I guess consumables come into it i guess dont want to be spending too much on coils etc

Yup, mods from the Aegis line will work great for you and keep you within budget. I've never used the tank thee kit comes with, so zero input on that as to whether to get the kit or buy a different tank separately. If you do get a tank with factory drop in coils you will have to consider the ongoing costs of buying them, Coils are in general better made these days, performing better and lasting longer, but the expense still adds up. You may down the road turn to tanks where you build the coil yourself (which isn't as difficult as it might sound) but my advice is wait on anything like that until you're more settled in with what you're using. Trying to tackle too much at the beginning can be a recipe for frustration and turn you off from the whole vape experience. Still, even with the expense of drop in coils, it's cheaper than smoking.

I was thinking that something like the Vandy Vape Jackaroo may be of some interest to you @Georgia Boy, it's another ruggedised mod that will take punishment somewhat but it doesn't have onboard charging.

It uses a 21700 battery so it keeps size and weight down a bit, but it would be more than capable of MTL and DTL with a Samsung 30T or similar spec battery due to 3000 mAh capacity and 35A CDR (maximum amount of amps you can constantly draw).

You have posted in the new members forum, you are limited to the number of post in this forum.
re: New Members - "How many posts do I need to..."
In the future, you might want to post in the ECF forum most closely representing your subject/question. Your subject: Mods, suggest posting in :
VV/VW APV Discussion
You may receive more knowledgeable/germane information from the membership in the above forum.
Worst case vaping condition: 0.4 ohms at 28 watts. Any single battery VW regulated mod at approximately double the wattage should be fine (assuming normal usage). Durability, Looks, Operation, Support are a few of the considerations you might like to consider when choosing. My taste suggests :
Vandy Vape Jackaroo 100W Mod
