:) . Makes sense. Guess I will forget the auto switch. I also used cigalikes (9 years ago?) and if the auto switches continues the "same", I will pass :)
They have gotten a lot better. Specifically they are MUCH more reliable. The early problem was that engineers believed that since the vacuum switches were waterproof they could not be affected by juice. This was emphatically not true. Auto switches often malfunctioned after as little as a week or two. Folks finally grew a pair and moved the switch away from the juice. They also took steps to make sure the vacuum chamber in which the switch resides (who’s dimensions changes dramatically when filled with juice or other funk) remains clear of fouling.

There is a new pod I saw a review of recently that has both a button and an auto switch as well as an actual (though really really small) nautilus style coil cartridge permanently set into the pod. I do not know if it implements what I have just suggested or not but it seems to be very well liked.

I'm not forgetting the auto draw, as these small ones really should be automatic. Akso's is fine. Juul is sensitive enough. It can be done, and is being done. Uwell's new one has the option of auto or button firing. I'm just waiting a little to get the right device with auto.
IMHO the strongest feature of auto is the ability to vape hands free. For some reason I cannot fathom, many devices seem to make it nearly impossible to hold the thing with only your mouth.

I've personally never tried a pod mod but I won a renova zero by Vaporesso and my husband loves the thing.

I purchased the Smok Nord also, to give him a choice in deciding which he preferred.

He chose the Zero, he likes the draw activation on it better than fire button controlled.

He calls it "old man proof", and so the Zero is for him. He says the airflow and flavor is about the same between the two, but he vapes menthol so I'm not sure if his impression is accurate as menthol is terribly strong.

I bought DH a second Zero and gave my son the Nord - he asked me for it as he'd never tried a pod before and since we weren't using it... lol.

My son is a sub ohm cloud chaser, and while he's getting the nicotine he needs in the salts, he's not getting the clouds which he finds more satisfying.. I guess it's a mental thing for him.

However, this isn't making him want to give it back or anything, he is still using it as a stealth vape so I guess in some way it's a win for him even without the clouds.

So... two pods and both are enjoyed in some way for different reasons. I would definitely advice someone to think about their needs in a vape and the reasons for purchasing a pod and make sure to get the pod with the right features for them.

But, +1 for the Nord and + 1 for the Zero. both have their positive aspects, and both are good pods.

It's not just that it's hands free, but that's a good part. I estimate I've taken ~3,679,200 hits off of cigarettes, without having to time it right with a button. That's just what my brain wants to do now. And trust me, my brain is busy enough trying to function as efficiently as...as...

Now what was I saying? And why did I walk into the kitchen, anyway?

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention: hands free is pretty much impossible, even if they had autodraw with the mouthpieces they put on so many of them now. Yes, I'm talking to you EQ, Nord, Rota, Zero, etc.

Why do so many mfgs. make it more like soul kissing a duck than putting the tip of a cigarette in your mouth? Scuba gear is more comfortable and less intrusive than some of them.

Yeah, that's probably the hardest hitting pod I've tried. But you have to like a warm/hot vape.

I am a little surprised that they didn’t make higher ohm pods for the Orion go. I just ordered an Orion quest to compare. With the go, at least you can edit the settings in escribe.

I vape my Zero hands free easily.

A bit of teeth hold is required, but I used to teeth hold a cigarette too.

I'm guessin' that the soon to be released Innokin Z-BiiP Pod System...since it's a collaboration between Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis...will be somewhat popular...(for about $25)…

Uses any of the current Zenith coils...and a new PLEX3D mesh coil 0.48ohm...1500mAh battery...three (11W,14W,16W) Power Settings...AFC...Side Firing Switch...Audible System...

    Z-BIIP Kit - Innokin

Looks like an attempt to morph a Zenith with a pod. Nice idea.
A wee bit larger than an EQ with a replaceable zapper.
What the JoyeTech Penguin coulda been I suppose.

Fire button makes it 'out' for me. Shame too, because I had stocked up on coil packs before retiring my modular devices before discovering 2018's version of auto draw devices.
