Cotton, silica, SS, hybrids
Change flavors the same as any other atomizer
Just vape through the old flavor
I was assuming that the cotton wick would hold the flavor a long time.
In fact, I have been concerned that washing the wick might even be necessary.

I use standard 510 atomizers and I can vape through most flavors in about 6 drags.
Obviously some flavors take a bit longer.
:)

For the average flavor that doesn't try so hard to stick around, how many drags would it usually take?
And by average flavor I don't mean menthol, clove, or pizza.
:D

I'd get the Phoenix or a Phoenix clone to start. If in stock , I'd also pick up the DiD clone . See if you like these . You may find the knock-offs are adequate and stop searching or you may find you love them and want to spend the money for the higher end rebuildables .
There isn't a less expensive way to try rebuildables. I bought the Phoenix clone from discountvapors as my first rba and in using it I have found that coils aren't hard to build.

ETA: I find the Phoenix clone a tremendous value at $9 plus shipping. I'm happy with its performance.

Depends on how elaborate the wick is
The more wick material, the more juice is in it, the longer it will take to vape through the old flavor
Well, I kinda thought that since it makes sense.
But I'm looking for real numbers, and real user experience.

So if you have a wick that touches bottom, and no more, how many drags to get through a juice?
Will it wick well that way, or is there a benefit to longer wicks than just touching bottom?

If so, how long would a good wick be and why?
And how long would those take to get to a new flavor?

Switching flavors as we speak. I usually wait until the first hint of dryness to switch. However, this time I didnt. I'm at about 5 drags so far and still tasting the old flavor. My guess would be probably about 5 more.

I have a Pheonix and use 3mm silica wick in it. Changing flavors is easy. I usually rinse wick with water, pat dry with paper towel and then dry burn. It's better than a new coil because it's already broke in. A really strong menthol will linger for a couple of hits but most are completely gone from the start. I use about 1" of wick in a "U" shape with the legs pointing up. It seems to work better this way for me. Seems to put more of the aroma of the juice in with the vapor making it even better. Usually 5-6 drops at a time and never any leaking even when left laying on its side. I find myself using it more than my drip mode Ody. I've even got a few more heading this way it he mail. Gonna have a few dedicated to certain flavors.
