I like my Engine. My wife will only use her Engine anymore. She's tried all my stuff but loves her setup. I like my Engine for many reason but FOR ME my favorite tank is an OBS Crius Plus w/ quad coil deck. It's definitely not a tank for everyone. I do wind my own clapton wire, make my own coils and make my own juice. I do it for me and my wife. I have a friend that likes my mixes so I'll give him stuff. Again that's why I love this hobby. I can do it for ME.

I have a C+ too. Nice tank. Never tried the quad coil deck. It's enough I can wick the dual coil without leaking.

OBS seems to make some very good tanks

No one's more serious about a satisfying vapour than me.

Most want flavour, (they should just add more to their juice) a lot want usability, aesthetics. All the things that literally do not matter and do nothing to ease the most conscious cravings from Nicotine.

But it would seem people "are" so different and everyone wants different things (Even though those variables only include flavour, usability and aesthetics. They say it's all subjective but for some completely unknown reason they neglect to notice they all want the exact same thing
- flavour, usability and aesthetics !. It can be said that what really matters does get mentioned, but only in passing and seems to be an aside to all those things aforementioned.

If you tour around the site or any other similar forum you will find "cliques" (nice enough people don't get me wrong). Made up of die hard fans who obsess about the latest piece of crap that's just hit the market. It doesn't work or nothing, but it looks great . Oh it produces vapour, but that's about it. There is a mountain of RTA's available. Most of which are designed to produce large clouds.

There's this one thread which is dedicated to an RTA which was designed for larger clouds. The company which makes these RTA's has had a succession of RTA's all of which are direct lung devices. This new (at the time) RTA hit the market and was offically described as being produced for the direct lung vaper. It was made crystal clear that this device wasn't mouth to lung. Then all these fans went and bought one and all they did was complain about how it didn't work for mouth to lung vaping whilst at the same time would descibe how great it is, showing pictures etc. It went on for pages and pages ($100 this thing cost). But if you were to ask any of these people for a recommendation (and without having read these pages i have mentioned) they would point you in the direction of this new device. Funny that  !. That would be the kind of thing that should be mentioned to anyone who wants a recommendation. Be wary of fan boys !. They behave like die hard voluntary workers for producers and vendors.

I see threads being started by official reviewers on ECF on a regular basis, they all get paid one way or another. It's what you'd expect. That's one thing. To see ordinary consumers doing the exact same thing for absolutely no reason at all is somehing completely different. It is a constant source of amusement for me though. Actually stumbled onto one a few days ago.

That's enough of my ramblings, take no notice.

For me, there is only one mouth to lung RTA which can serve up a vapour with a texture that produces a satisfying throat hit regardless of what type of build goes into it.

You could not go wrong if you dropped a few pennies on a Kayfun V4 clone. It's very cheap (though the authentic is very expensive) and it works perfectly no matter what build you choose to install.
I only say this because it works.

I found that the V4 was over-engineered junk. However, you can't go wrong with a mini V3 or a mini V3 Plus if you want a larger tank. I have both and I've never felt the need to buy another tank. It checks all the boxes and I can't think of a single thing that would improve it. Also spare parts are abundant. But it's strictly MTL low wattage which is what I want. Fasttech has them dirt cheap.

Back when i started like most people i used a cig-a-like. I needed more battery capacity and bigger juice reservior. Moved onto ego types then mods. Who wants to change batteries and re-fill every couple of hours ?.

It's so common for me to read about those who do the exact same thing but then decide later on to build bigger coils.

Kind of defeats the the whole purpose of buying a device with more battery capacity in the first place. You wind up right back where you started.

Kayfun V4 build has a 29g kanthal coil made up of 5 wraps with an inner diameter of 2mm, total ohm's 1.02. And i only use 11.5 watts. Some of the vets here go even lower to maybe 9 - 9.5 watts. Batteries last for days. Two 18650's maybe 3-4 days. Coil lasts for months. Wick gets changed everytime the tank empties, which is almost everyday. Because i "can be bothered".

Went here 1.6mm M1.6 A2 STAINLESS STEEL ALLEN BOLT SOCKET CAP SCREW HEX HEAD DIN 912 and bought allen key screws to replace Kayfuns existing ones. Makes re- coiling much easier. Hate using those phillips head screws, always afraid of stripping them.

If it was as easy as adding more flavoring to your juice I would be a very rich man. I have been making juice for over a year and have created quite a few recipes that are a big hit with friends and family. Adding more flavor is often a bad choice. There is a fine line between the right amount and too much. Sometimes too much gives you an artificial chemical taste but sometimes it actually mutes the overall flavor.
Indeed. Often less is more when it comes to flavoring.

I use a Serpent SMM and I love it. It is very simple for everything that I find important. It holds about 4ml of juice, and has a very easy to use top fill. Building on that thing is easy. The 3 coils that comes with the tank are great and I have been using that same coil since I got it at the beginning of August. I just burn off the gunk and rewick. Wicking on it is super easy. Wick it tight and comb the tails and stick it in the wick holes and that is it. Does not leak for me and the flavor is top notch.

With that said, this is based on my experience. You may not get the same results as me. But there has been a whole lot of people and reviewers that raved about this tank and to me, they are not wrong.
