When I use to smoke (before getting closer to quitting) sometimes when I would breath I would have wheezing/whistling sounds coming from my lungs and it scared me to death!

Betcha it was coming from your throat instead. Cough up a big loogie and it went away? Mucus building up around the hole.

I don't cough up mucus since I quit smoking, no it's definitely from the tank, it just happened a minute ago lol

You must be youngish, that sound used to put me to sleep. It's gone now, took a while to get used to the quiet.

Not that young, just turned 47 in May.

This might sound strange coming from a seasoned vapor, I'm pretty sure it's happened before but for some reason, I seem to be obsessing about it from tonight's experience and so I felt better about posting and asking.

I'm sure we've had a lot of fun at your expense. But I've got a fav cap I never had a problem with at lower power levels that whistles bad when driven hard. I'd chalk it up to bad mojo but mebe the simple reason the maker is no longer, i.e. the shiit sux. Shame really. Thing costs more than most atty's nowadays.

Jokes aside though, which is pretty hard given the subject, have you tried inhaling slowly below your normal draw and increasing it to see if it happens at a certain specific air flow level? I did once have a tank that made a whistle sound, can't recall the tank it was in, at a certain air flow level. But only if you hit that level.
