I wanted to write a review of White Rhino because it looks like not very many people on the forum are familiar with this brand, yet I hear this is frequently available from B&M's as a basic starter kit. I received the White Rhino Liquid Travel Pack as a gift a week ago (she said it came highly recommended by a friend, who apparently was not familiar with anything else...) and I would like to share my experiences, in case anyone you know wants to buy one of these as a starter kit.

The above is a picture of the kit from the company website. It retails for $59.99 (presumably plus shipping and tax, though idk how much). It comes in several different colors, mine is silver. The kit comes with one battery, one clearomizer, a charger, an outlet adapter, a lanyard, and a travel case. Liquid is sold separately.
My initial complaint right off the bat is that it includes only one battery, so if this is your first kit you have no backup when it's on the charger. It is the size and shape of a standard ego battery so I presume the charge would last only 6-8 hours (I have not timed it). When I looked at their website I saw that batteries from them are never sold separately, only as part of a kit. That is a big negative in my book.
The case is sturdy and looks identical to Totally Wicked's small travel cases, inside and out. The lanyard also looks exactly like every other lanyard I've seen, just with "White Rhino" printed on it.
Now for the meat and potatoes. Here is a picture of the White Rhino vaporizer fully assembled:

All of the equipment is standard ego style. Unfortunately though, when using the battery with an Innokin clearomizer, you can feel as your screwing it on that the threads are cheap. I can't even screw on my thread cover to use with a bigger tank because the threads on this battery catch and I don't want to ruin it. The battery works perfectly fine though. The most unique feature of the battery is the fact the the rim around the base lights up when you vape:

This is kind of a neat feature, but horrible for stealth vaping. I honestly don't see any good reason for this.
The best thing about this kit, imo, is the clearomizer:

This clearomizer gives a throat hit twice as strong as my Innokin clearos, even the 16D. As you can see in the pic, this is designed with a center post containing the wick with holes drilled into the side - it's basically a mini carto tank. Based on my experience with this I have decided to purchase a real carto tank in the near future.
Unfortunately, of course, they do not sell wicks for these separately on White Rhino's website. You have to buy a whole new clearomizer. I'll pass, it's not worth it. I'd rather get a real carto tank.
The charger appears to be a standard ego charger with White Rhino's logo printed on it. When I screwed the battery in, there was no point at which I felt like it was screwed in all the way, so I kept going... and the casing on the charger began to split. That did not make me happy. I contacted their customer service department just for kicks, and they said not to use it because there is risk of a short, and that they can replace it with proof of purchase. I explained that I could not provide proof of purchase as it was a gift, and they told me to buy another one. I told them I would be happy to buy an identical ego charger from a more reputable manufacturer.
Due to my technical issues with the charger, I never tested the wall adapter. The adapter had marks in the plastic suggesting someone had previously tried to pry it open. Both items have since been pitched.
In the end, I am still using the battery and clearomizer, and I charge the battery on my ego charger with no problems. The travel kit will certainly come in handy, as will the lanyard if I ever decide to try it. Basically I've gotten some useful extra parts from this kit.
Overall, on a scale from terrible to fantastic, this kit gets a solid rating of meh.
Positives: Great clearomizer, good battery, all parts interchangeable with ego, light on battery (if you like that sort of thing), good covering of all the basics in one starter kit.
Negatives: The charger is unsafe garbage, customer support is negligible, only one battery included in the kit and no replacement batteries offered on website, cheap battery threads, no replaceable wick for clearomizer.
If someone buys one of these as a starter, I think it'll give them a good solid start, unless they have technical issues like I did. If your friend wants to purchase one of these, please kindly point them to better options.
Thank you for reading this and happy vaping!
