I'm extreme ambivalent about that. I think there are some issues that really need the whole world playing ball -- things like trying to not destroy the planet, control of pandemics, and authors'/inventors' intellectual property rights. I'm inclined to place "Human rights" in that category as well, but we certainly know many places in the world where human rights may as well not even exist, for all the interest anyone has in them.

But for things like markets, currency... this globalization trend is pure poison.

The planet is not fragile - it's anti-fragile :- ) We should inspect all imports for disease, pests, criminals. UN "human rights" are not rights but wishes. Natural rights should be upheld - but people in their own countries should stand up for them like we did. If they don't, then it's not our job to police the world. IMF, WHO, WTO, IEA, UN, NATO, etc. takes our money (our percentage contributions are the highest) and makes us responsible for all the problems of the world.
