HH357's : I have a few on the way; i'll let you know...
I know a vaper that has a big collection of mods; actually a couple vapers... who swear by them but one has been using his for months and another goes through them in a couple weeks. Needless to say he's pretty frustrated at the cost; and says once you try them you get hooked.
I know there is a slight learning curve to them but have a feeling I'm going to be in the same boat; freaking at the cost.

I haven't vaped continuously for more than 12 months, but I gave vaping a try for the first time three years ago. At the time, I REALLY, REALLY wanted to like it. I really hoped it would be even a mediocre alternative to analogs, and I tried quite hard for nearly six months to make it so...it just wasn't.
The equipment was crap. The juices were awful, they were expensive, and they were hard to find. After six months of disappointment, I finally just tossed everything.
I got interested in vaping again last fall, and bought an ego. I was immediately impressed...MUCH more so than during my first foray into the world of vaping. Almost immediately my analog use dropped WAAY off, so I started to get really serious about it being a viable alternative to smoking.
As I started to vape daily, I started to get somewhat dissatisfied with the more consumeable items, that I felt should be less "consumeable"...the atomizers especially. I didn't care much for cartos, or dripping for that matter, so I went for a higher end mod and rebuildable atty shortly after, and completely ditched analogues. The equipment is SO much better, the variety of juices is enormous...everything has just moved forward in huge leaps and bounds.
This is the LONGEST period I have gone without an analog in over 30 years...by far. I have zero desire for them..I don't even like the smell of them anymore.
I'm not in the slightest sorry I spent over $300 on a mod/ rebuildable atty. Financially I am already way ahead of the game, by hundreds of dollars. I feel better, and the only step I see for me after vaping is completely quitting

About 2 years for me. Started with small kit. Battery lasted 30 min
Then the the mega battery came out. Then the tornado. Then the mega tornado. Pass thru Now on the omega.

Atty. Went from just a 510 to mega 510. The lr 510. Then Cartomizors.
Tank systems
Vv devices

I am at the omega with 1.7 resurrector now and loving it .

Thru it all used 36mg pg tobacco from tw.

Like the changes. I can vap while riding to. :).

Looking forward to an Atty that lasts longer and works consistent.

Well, I started vaping in August of 2010, but I haven't been continuously vaping for 12 months. I went back to analogs (long story) for several months, but started back up around April of last year, so it's been almost a year at any rate, and more than a year if you count all of the time I've been vaping together. Once I sorted out the problems I was having with vaping the first time around I've been good ever since and it's been awesome. Started with an eGo kit and stated with various eGos for almost a year before upgrading to my first mod, a ProVari. (I decided to go big.) Now I've got about half a dozen mods, half a ton of eGo and eGo-style batteries, an array of cartos, clearos and tanks, and more juice than I'll vape in the next year.

At this specific moment I have with me at work:

- Silver Bullet, stacked (2x18350) with a 2.8ohm dual coil in a standard DCTv2
- ProVari with a Stone Tank II I'm testing out for review right now
- EVO with a 1.6ohm dual coil in a chrome DCT
- iMist battery with a Stardust on it that I'm testing for review

And at this specific moment I'm behind on reviews (busy weekend), but I'll be catching up throughout the week with loads more stuff and still more on the way. It never stops, and that's just the way I like it. ;)

If money isn't an issue, you shouldn't be using an eGo at all, especially an eGo-T. This is just my opinion and I am of the belief that whatever keeps you away from analogs is what you should use, but if you want the best vaping experience you simply have to get a Reo or GG. With the Reos you get some of the cleanest flavour in your atomizer (HH.357s are perfect) whether it be an LR Cisco 306 or a simple Joye 510 (I tend to use these). They feed precisely 1000x better than even the best eGo-T because you're in control. I have never had a single dry hit on a Reo once I got the feeding down.

The GGs are not only 100% mechanical like the Reo, they have one of the best rebuildable atomizers available. Nothing hits better than a rebuildable atomizer and the fact that it is housed around its own automatically feeding tank ensures perfect feeding no matter how hard and fast you vape, and trust me I vape Hard and Fast. Couple that with the fact that if they ever do ban ecigs in Canada 100% you can always have atomizers because wire and wick are readily available.

So, seriously, if money isn't an issue, just toss the eGo-T and grab an awesome Mod. If size is a factor, grab a GG slim or GG Stealth, or Reo Mini.

For me personally it's the commercially available bridgelss atties, game changer for sure, doubly so on a bottom feeder. Heck only work I have to put in is mixing juice when I feel like it and dumping the lot of atties in everclear once in a blue moon, fill up and screw with batts once every 2 days. Far cry from the minis I started with back in october 2010.

I started vaping back in the summer of 2009. There wasn't much for variety you had the 4081, 510, 801, 901, m102, 103 and a couple of handmade mods. Everything pretty much required tweaking. Cartomizers were just starting to come into play so it was atomizers or nothing for the most part.

Everyone was coming up with ways to mod cartridges from tea bag mods to aquarium filter. Then the first few auto feeding systems came out, but didn't really take off right away.

I remember seeing the Ego make it's debut but even that took awhile to gain popularity.

I feel for newbies just coming into vaping now. It was confusing enough back then with what few models were available and few accessories. I get overwhelmed at the current choices now.

I remember scouring the grocery stores buying up pyramid tea bags to "mod" my cartridges :)

Lol, never did the Tea bag mod, but I did make the blue foam dart mod. I had to do something because regular carts were finicky and I hated dripping.

I switched to cartos, but cartomizers were horrible a year ago. Terrible filler taste, burning issues, prohibitive costs, smaller selection. But I was determined to stay with it, and away from smoking. So I kept buying new kits to give me that "better vape". An expensive endeavor, but I am over a year smoke free.

Nowadays, vaping is cheaper, easier and you could say healthier than it was a year ago.

Nothing wrong with an Ego T. Just make sure you buy a Joyetech, the knock offs are mostly to blame for the problems that have arisen. That is why some just have to tell you to toss them, LOL. Of course many just hate playing with cartos, filling spilling, dry hits. Tanks let you vape longer and are more painless to fill. I have nothing against any PV, as long as it works for you...enjoy it!:D

No truer words have been said. OTOH a lot has to do with the user, and the majority of the time it is the liquid they choose to use. I have had zero issues with all my T systems :) I like their convenience...
