There is no "best" bud.

And what even defines "best" in your eyes? Because theres a variety of factors that can be criteria used for what defines "best" flavoring and the relevancy of those criteria will differ between people.

For example criteria I can name off the top of my head;
- % flavoring needed to actually taste it (the lower the better IMO)
- How LUSH the flavor is (IMO many flavorings are just not lush/tastey no matter what % you use them at!)
- The actual TONGUE taste element of the flavor
- The actual aromatic smell element of the flavor
- The sensations associated with the flavor (sweetness? sourness? tartness? crispness? creaminess? smoothness? roughness?)

Everyone has their own tastes (literally) so its impossible for there to be any "best" flavoring manufacturer for any given flavor. For example you could have two suppliers Black Cherry flavoring. One is super lush and tastey even at low % concentrations, however the others could have a sensational sweetness and tartness to it but may not be all that "lush" of a taste and may require much higher % flavoring. Which ones the "best"? Depends on the vaper!

With that said. In my journeys thus far ive found FlavourArt and Capella to make very "accurate" flavorings overall (but there are exceptions for both suppliers!). By accurate I mean, their flavorings generally taste very cloes to what the name of the flavoring is. But that doesn't mean they taste the best. LorAnn flavorings tend to have a very synthetic taste to them (dont taste like what you would often expect them to taste like based on their name) but despite that, some of there flavors seem to taste better (more enjoyable) than their more accurate counterparts.

The only real way is simple trial and error. Ive seriously spent a good $400+ dollars on just flavorings so far (and im talking 3ml flavoring bottles!) and im still left searching for more satisfying flavors on the majority of those that ive tried. Goodluck in your searches though!

is there anyone producing a good line of flavoring specifically for DIY e-liquid besides liquidxpress?

the problem iv had with Loranns and other baking/perfumer options is it perminantly flavors your bottles, atomizers droppers etc. now days I get what i need from liquidxpress, but it would be nice to have some more options, preferably at a little better price too.

No problem bud. Theres soo many flavors out there to try I really have only hit the tip of the iceberg myself.

I have yet to vape any black cherry, root beer, or hot cinnamon flavors so I really cant give you any opinions on any manufacturers of those flavors. I do have some FA black cherry enroute to me but not here yet.

If you have a general idea of what flavors your wanting to delve into (and it seems you do) then my best advice would be to pick those flavors, and order from every common flavoring manufacturer of those flavors and then compare.

For example if you want to find a black cherry that suits you, go buy black cherry flavoring from all the manufacturers who offer a black cherry flavor. Its not expensive at all, I use HappyVaper.com to get most of my flavorings as he repackages them into 3ml sampler bottles which are great when your searching for flavors that suit you and dont want to end up with a multi-ounce bottle of flavoring you dont like. Theyre just $3 or so per bottle so its not expensive at all to pickup a bundle of different flavorings and get tasting. But he only stocks 3 brands (FlavourArt, Capella, and LorAnns).

I have used FlavourArts Cinammon flavor (but I wouldnt call it a "hot cinammon" by hot cinammon im led to believe you mean like those hot cinnamon heart candies). FlavourArts Cinnamon did have some hotness to it but it wasnt candyish at all (but I see they also offer a hot cinnamon candy flavoring which I havent tried yet). But I was really impressed with their Cinammon flavor. It tasted very much like how cinnamon smells. You probalby wouldnt want to vape it straight (would be kinda grosse), but it works phenomenal for adding a cinnamon element to any flavor your trying to concoct. It also seems very potent, just 1 drop in 1ml of base can add an almost overpowering level of cinnamon, id recommend starting at like 1 drop in 3ml if your looking to add just a subtler hint of cinnamon to an existing flavor. Once I pickup a solid sweetener agent, I will revist the cinnamon adding sweetener and seeing if it will give me a hot cinnamon candy flavor.

Ill try and get back to this thread after I get a chance to try FA's black cherry. Ill end up trying every manufacturers flavors inevitably, but so far ive just been trying FlavourArts, Capellas, and LorAnns. Once ive tried virtually all their flavorings, ill move onto other manufacturers and see if I can find better.

Paso, I am still trying to get the whole DIY juice deal figured out. I can tell you that as far as cinnamon, the capella's hot cinnamon candy packs a good punch. It smells really good and mixed with a good pg/vg combo vapes very well. I just got a small sampling of Lorann's (not the flavors you are asking about) but so far I detect an aftertaste. The banana is decent. Taste is really different from person to person and my analog abused tastebuds are still in recovery.

The thing I like about capella's is if you don't like them for vaping they are pretty tasty in food. I use the chocolate brownie in coffee, and once in awhile for a serious chocolate vape hit. It is very good but I can't do it for very long.

Blackcherry from perfume apprentice is very good IMO, rootbeer I havent done and really If I want atomic fireball Ill just buy it from Geoff at tastyvapor his prices make it not worth bothering to try that and he has it down so good that I dont think it could be better.

Does it taste like black cherry, Brewster?? The name perfume apprentice is a little off putting, but I'd be willing to try if it tastes a lot like black cherry.:)

It is a very natural flavor, it is not overly sweet, it has no chem taste at all I like it quite a bit. Another thing I like about it is it is totally clear no food coloring. Dan is the one who recommended them to me and I am very pleased with them so far. It is really cheap so if you dont like it its no big loss I paid 3 bucks for 15mls and about 15% mixing produces a good flavor which is better results than I get from Loranns.

I know that I do NOT like LorAnn Root Beer. I have, but haven't tried Capella's Root Beer Float. I think that cinnamon oil makes the best hot cinnamon, but if you don't want to use oil... Oh well....

As previously recommended, you should get the flavors you are most interested in from the main manufacturers and try them all. They aren't that expensive really.

In general... I like FlavourArt best, Capella second, and LorAnn last. Perfumers Apprentice is a newcomer to the flavor scene but what I have tried thus far has been good. Having said all of that there are exceptions. I would not limit myself to one company. For example, I like the Capella Double Chocolate better than the FlavourArt Chocolate. And LorAnn English Toffee better than that flavor from other companies IMO.

So in summary, you really need to try them all yourself. Buy the smallest sizes until you find what you like best. OH! Sometimes the best flavor for me is a mix from different companies. I find that to be very true with the Coffee flavors. I use a bit from each of the major manufacturers to get a taste I like.

It is very much a matter of personal taste. Good luck with your experiments!

    :)

Just getting back to you about FlavourArt Black Cherry. Just vaped it and REALLY like it. Ive never vaped a black cherry flavoring before so I cant say if I like it more than anyothers, but I could really get behind this flavor.

Also really digging Capellas Peaches & Cream + Capellas Vanilla Custard mixed.
