Hi
I just recieved my order and so far am happy with it so this is not a complaint. It's just that the longer I vape the more frustrating and confusing it is getting. I ask simple questions that should require a simple one sentence answer but that never happens. So I will let you guys have a go at it :)
What company makes your batteries? There are hundreds...possibly thousands of companies in Mainland China and Hong Kong that make a battery called "kr808d-1". Interestingly Kanger is the only company that makes the KR808D-2. Which is apparently just like the #1 EXCEPT for a different thread pattern so you have to buy different cartomizers.

I noticed that your batteries have two tiny little indentations right under the threads but no actual breather holes. I have purchased batteries from two different companies other than easycig and both of those batteries have 3 breather holes. I don't know what if anything this means...I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it...in fact so far it seems pretty darn good. It's just confusing because the whole breather hole issue is one of the main things that the "other guys" like to use as a big selling point. Some even claiming that their batteries are different or special or custom "tweaked" just for them. I just want to know the truth so I can decide how to decide which ones I like and want to keep buying. Did that make sense?

Anyway...thank you for the fast shipping and the RY4. Personaly I dont think I like RY4 but my hubby does and he says yours is great...two thumbs up!

Do you have any plans to carry a mega battery in the future? (a 380 mah) I would sure love to see someone carry the megas along with a PCC they will fit in. I really think you'ld sell out constantly with those. It doesn't take long to realize that with a good quality mega 808d you don't need mods....unless you want the voltage. I just want the battery life.

Happy Superbowl!!!:D

I would be curious as well. Been 11 days since this question was asked. Anyone home?

Mac,
I answered Lorikay's question in another post. The answer is Kanger.
The KR808D-1 has evolved with improvements over the last year. It has been sold with with 2,3 and 4 holes slotted and unslotted.
The problem with compatibility comes from sellers offering NON- KR808d-1 batteries.:nah:

Hi Frank,
In all fairness to "Mac"....actually I don't think you did.

I plan on answering your question on Who makes and whats the deal with all the different style batteries but it will take more then just saying Kanger for you to get what going on. I am falling asleep at the keyboard at the moment but will reply to that thread in the morning. Ok?

that was last week :) I definately understand about falling asleep at the keyboard. I just learned my lesson about hitting th Print button for your one and only sheet of premium waterproof labels when your AAK. (asleep at the keyboard) hahaha

Anyway....that kind of explains it but it does not really address the issue of quality and what the deal with the little holes is ??? I know alot of this is subjective. Like I said in my other post I'm not looking to label anyones product as good or bad. Just to understand how it all works. So you must have a reason or opinion about the breather holes and why you carry the batteries you carry. And I would also really appreciate a clarification on the issue of "short" "long" "mega" "XL" etc. One other seller that I know of sells the "short" batteries as a curtosy to his customers. It is approx 200 mah and much smaller than the "regular" 280 mah he carries. Then the third battery he carries is "XL-Mega" and is 380 mah. You carry a battery that is 300 mah and just about 2mm longer than the other guys 280 regular battery but are calling it a "long". Then yet another seller told me that while his are custom labeled for him they are the same as the first guys batteries except the Kanger told him there is no such thing as a 380 mah made by them and that 350 is the highest they go, even taking into consideration the list of options available to large volume sellers. So you see how confusing it all is to a hapless buyer? A lot of us have made the decision to buy that first guys battery for the sole reason that the XL is the longest lasting battery on the market short of a low voltage Mod. And if that isn't true then that just isn't right.

Now I know you are not thoase other guys. So I'm just asking about your store and what it sells....this isn't personal. We have already established that I like you, your store and your e-juice :) ! And I still would like to know if you plan on carrying an XL (350 mah or higher) ?

Thank You !!!!!

Frank,
If you paste the "other" link, I could follow it there?

I just placed my first order with your company today, got the PPC with the "manual" batteries, that fit the case, so there was no real decision about length of battery as they have to fit the PPC anyways, but I like the idea of the manual battery, as that is what I have on my GGTS mod. I wanted to buy something easy to carry and use at work, so I guess I'll see soon. Thanks!

Lorkay,
You have tons of good information already!
All the different products available now being sold as KR808d-1's and compatible is just as confusing to me as a seller as you the buyer.
A little history as I know it!
The original KR808d-1 was designed by a Japanese Company over a year ago. That explains the leap in performance and ease of use at the time. The Kanger company in China was chosen to produce the product. Originally you could not purchase the KR from Kanger but has been now for several months.
The 300 mah battery was designed specifically for the cartomizers and as I mentioned before it has been improved over time after receiving feed back from customers.
CigEasy sells only the original KR unit.
Today batteries and cartomizers are sold as compatible to the original by dozens of factories and hundreds of Chinese sellers including Kanger. All claiming to be new and better than the original. I have not found one yet as good.
The bottom line is I couldn't tell you for sure who makes the product sold by other resellers. The XL 380mah battery is made by several different companies including Kanger. I found very little difference in the performance and felt it was not worth the extra $ and the looks the extra size gets. At least for now I do not plan on carrying them.
As soon as something better or easier comes along Cigeasy will carry it.

Enough for Now!
Happy Vaping!
Frank:p

Thank You~~~!!! That also answers something else I had been wondering about....if you go to any of those websites that list all the manufuacturers and wholesalers it is very interesting to see that many Chinese companies are actually sell juice that is manufactured in Japan ! I wonder why we don't see Japanese companies selling directly to the USA ? I mean I don't expect you to answer that question :) Just a passing thought. Thank you again !

Just received my order from you. Both manual batteries have 3 holes. Not sure what: "slotted" means?

slotted means that the inside circle where you screw on a carto has a grove in it, making it not a complete full circle.

I can tell you my manual 902 from cigeasy has 3 holes, is non slotted, and is sealed.

The 808 Auto batteries are 2 holes, slotted center post, and not sealed.
