Not to push an old stereotype, but... why do 80% of asians do better at math and science? The answer will be the same.

Tech is a strong component of Japanese culture; we have nothing on them with our Apple/Android mania.

In a long ago thread some of of us old fogies were comparing first pack of cigarette prices and it somehow turned into first computer operating system used. It was then I noticed people that accept technology might be more likely to accept vaping.

Perhaps Asians weren't quite as subjected to American tobacco companies' tobacco additives and are not quite as addicted to crap....

They have a better chance of breaking away cleanly. Well, just an immediate, not well thought out, theory.....

Someday, I may learn to finish a thought..... with a period.....

Nope, sorry.

What makes tobacco addictive, is the naturally present MAOIs. They make nicotine 8x more addictive. All tobaccos have it, to varying degrees. Read about it on Wikipedia, with references.

Nicotine by itself isn't more addictive than coffee. Tobacco is a death trap...

Hey folks, here is the scoop...

The OP seems to be talking about the Los Angeles area...

As the above link shows clearly, the Los Angeles area is most likely experiencing more electronic cigarette growth than anywhere in the world.
The only thing that bothers me about this is that it they also clearly seem to be a sub-ohm cloud-chasing subculture.

Sub-ohm by itself is concerning, but a shop that wraps sub-ohm coils for complete newbs is a serious issue.

I can't stop laughing. I'm in SWFL and have yet to meet an asian vaper. The shop owners (6 shops in the city of 150k) are all Florida crackers (a term of endearment around these parts) or transplant from NY & NJ like the rest of the business owners around here.

It just your location, in my neck of the woods the shop I go to has a nice mix.
The other shop I go to cig/vape shop the guy is from Lebanon.
Location location.
Lol it was explained to me by a friend what the term really means.
I remember my father telling me what it meant to.

Oh yeah, sure. People indicate it might be a matter of higher intelligence and you go and tell us it's actually an indictment of the LA public schools.

ETA - yes, that is sarcasm.

Do we really have to turn a thread about asian vapers into another anti sub-ohm campaign?
Here are things as I see them…

--The Los Angeles vaping community is growing rapidly and may already be the largest concentrated vaping community in the world
--The rapid Los Angeles vaping community growth is being spurred by a the Pinoy community for the most part
--The Pinoy community in Los Angeles has close ties with the vaping community in the Phillipines
--Both communities seem to be have an inordinate number of sub-ohm cloud-chasers

I’m not stating that this is good or bad in general.
It may have some good points, but it also may have some bad points, just like anything else.

But I am quite certain that wrapping sub-ohm coils for a vaping newb is NOT GOOD, and that is a judgment I’m willing to make.
That still doesn’t mean that I am ready to oppose capitalism in action, or free will.

It all depends on how they are handling it, and the level of education provided by said vendors.

But I am going to point out what is happening, given the context of this thread.
The reader is free to agree, disagree, call me names, or whatever.
