The reason you never hear about women and exploding mods are because they're too busy making sandwiches, cleaning house, or taking care of little ones.

See how that almost sounded as ridiculous as the OP.

I find it hard to believe that the media is just covering explosions involving guys because let's be honest...they would get a far better bang covering females, innocent mothers of children who simply was trying to quit smoking by vaping and now they are hospitalized and scarred for life all due to the explosion dangers that come with vaping gear. The media could spin those stories to have far greater impact then covering ones involving males. So no i don't think the media prefers to cover the male stories over females. I just think there are no female stories available to cover or they would be all over it.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Don't give them any ideas!!!!

I may have to do away with you! :grr:

I think why this is so shocking to me is because most of the time guys are into taking something apart and putting back to together....it's all about how does it work and why does it work where females generally care about 'hey it works' and need to know no more and move on. I just find it odd that it's the guys all these explosions are happening to.

Very incorrect assessment of anecdotal information.

Another example of twisting data to fit an agenda would be:

"99% of the quality detailed technical information is listed by guys, so girls must not be able to understand the technical aspects of vaping".

See how dumb that sounds?

I for one, don't believe that what I observe in the media, has anything to do with reality.

Speaking from a woman's perspective, are you making these assumptions from personal experience?
I'll be the FIRST woman to come in and tell ya, I'm NOT a Plug and Play vaper. I use mech mods, have over 30 of em. Getting to know your equipment and how it works, should be the FIRST step a PERSON should take. If that means taking it apart to see how it works, cleaning all the parts and reassembling the mod, then so be it.
There's no need to make women better than men or vise versa.
Just my :2c:

@Mazinny There may be a grain of truth to women being less than willing
to air their dirty laundry so to speak. However in today's news world and
with the social media on the internet accidents as severe as we have seen
with some of these young lads wouldn't go unreported for long even if
the victim managed to stay anonymous.
OMG, did you hear that (fill in the blank).

A friend of mine at work girlfriend (works at a local B&M building all day) had less expensive "reputable" battery go thermal on her & never went to the media even though she had to have some teeth replaced because she's a die hard vapor & realized that accidents do happen! Of course she still vapes her mech mod but will never skimp on batteries again!

Perhaps, but it's not really a story without names and quotes. In the Seattle Times piece, the lawyer for one of the patients was quoted ( although the plaintiff wasn't named ). Funny thing was that the lawyer wasn't sure who to sue, the vape shop or Samsung ! But it was made pretty clear someone will be sued.

Because men are genetically stronger and as a result, they are the survivors. An e-cig blows up a woman, she's just gone. Poof. Nothing left but some sparkly pink crap she used to decorate her mod. So there is no one to report the incident. Unless she's a large girl in which case, unless she's Rebel Wilson, she doesn't want the publicity.
