Why are reos so much ? How fast do they burn through juice ? What about Monkeyboxx ?

Looking for a new vape. I use a KR 808 currently. Most of the mods have too much bull and nit picky things you have to do for me to take seriously. I love the "juice box" simplicity especially the reo. That being said WHY IS IT ALMOST 200 BUCKS ! They dont even ship you alot of the stuff I feel you would need you have to get it yourself. Obviously they're doing something right I know or they wouldn't be sold out of like ...... everything ( which stinks too ). What is the diference between the Grand and the wood one ? And finally has anybody checked out "Monkey Boxx" it seems like a good alternative to a reo and highly customizable ( although their website is down :( ) Sorry to bombard with questions. I know you reo guys would go to the grave with those little box things

You pay for quality, you only cry once. You pay for crap, you cry all the time... The REO is quality. The wood ones are Woodvilles The grands are metal, Grands have a 510 connection and the Woodville has a choice between two different connections when you order one. Both have 6ml bottles and both use 18650 batts. Monkey box? Not in the same league. In addition most mods don't come with anything but the mod so you have to order batts and attys/cartos anyways.

Well first off, welcome to the REO forum :) To answer some of your questions...The REO mini is $137 plus $6.95 shipping. The Grand is $139 plus shipping. Either of which is right at $145. The Exotic woods cost more, are harder to work with, therefore they cost more. The Woodvil is the Cadillac of the REOS in my and many's opinions. I too started with kr808's and tried several other pv's including a plastic bottom feeder. It was just good enough to solidify they opinions I was hearing about bottom feeders being the answer to easy, consistant vaping. Rob, aka "redeyedancer" is the craftsman who builds these mods. You will NOT find a more eager vendor to make SURE his customer's are completely satisfied. He goes way above and beyond service before, durring, and after the sale. I know little about the "other" bottom feed mods sold by other vendors. I therefore can't give you an accurate opinion on a comparrison to them and REOS. I can tell you from personal experience, that once you own a REO, 1 will not be enough for most folks. :)

I have both, 4 Reos and a Monkeybox. All my Reos work consistently every time. Very easy to change bottles, no juice leakage, and they can withstand a drop. My experience with the Monkeybox was very dissapointing. It would not work with all my 18650 batteries, very tedious to change bottles. I think Reos give you much more for your money.

First its a very high quality mod. Simple not complex does what it is suppose to. As for the price, supply and demand. There is always a very very limited supply and to much demand.

I just got my Grand(tad smaller width wise than a pack of smokes) in because I wanted to use a larger battery and love it so far, cant speak for any of the other models, the Grand is my first one. If you bought one and for some reason didn't like it, you could sell it and get back every penny spent on it selling it in the classified section.(so its basically risk free if you should be lucky enough to even get one)

i'm personally waiting for mine in the mail.. but the reason i went with this mod .. according to my research was

  • simple to use, easiest and laziest of all other model type pv's. easiest to use compared to other bottom feeders so i read
  • all mechanical, no wires
  • the maker, rob, stands by his product, and every incident i've read of the small chance something not working, rob has been quick to fix right away or other members quick to help with suggestions
  • if you want to try different flavors as opposed to what's in the bottle..he made a catch-cup to drip your e-liquid to that sucks into the atty.. so it's like a bottom feeder + dripper in one
  • there's so many REO supporters here... hell i made a thread in the new users forum asking to recommend me a mod and literally the whole thread was bombarded by REOnauts... haha. there has to be a reason people stand by this product.
  • doesn't leak at all from what i've heard
  • everyone claims if you don't like it, it'll be bought pretty damn fast in the classifieds here in the ECF near the price that u bought it for

these are jus the things i've read through my research so i can't stand by the claims..

but i'll find out soon -.-

This is absolutely true. I've done that twice now. Wanted to try the Grand. Bought one, loved it, sold it for exactly what I paid in 1 day. Wanted to try the Mini. Bought one, loved it, sold it for exactly what I paid in 2 hours. The Reos are insanely nice and if you want a hassle free vape you can't go wrong with any of the Reo models. You might ask why I sold mine if I loved them so much. I am trying to get my hands on as many mods and hardware as I can to test out in the pursuit of knowledge. I can't be spending thousands to do this so I buy something, try it, then sell it usually. Only thing I've decided to keep long term is the Empire I recently got.

O.K. REO's huh? Well, it is kinda like you buying that department store off brand stereo and then going all out and picking up a JVS receiver and some Altec-Lansing speakers. REO's will just blow you away. Yeah, I'm talking the top of the line mod. And the master craftsman Rob, he will stand behind you, by your side, and even talk to you on the phone! No comparison. You get what you pay for. And with a REO, you get more......way more..Juice you say? Yes, you might want to vape more with a REO, because it is just that GOOD!

Looks like everyone covered it.

Summarize .... Its great... works every time ... will last a lifetime ....

So I don't find it expensive at all. 150 bucks there about is a steal for the task it performs flawlessly.

I used to spend 150 bucks every 17 days with smokes and all I had were empty wrappers and stinky butts left.

The REO 17 days or 170 days or 1700 days later is still going to perform like day one .... Period!!

I spent about 300 month on smokes
130 a month on cable and internet
150 a month on two cell phones

And I am not the only one ..... Thats why it seems cheap to me.

I do realize that its a lot of money to some people though.
I hope you go for one, then you will have a better idea of why its priceless.

Honestly knowing what I know now about how well they work if money was that tight I would give up the cell phones or cable .... Its that important to me.

blight, asking about another vendor's products in a vendor sub-forum will probably get you some one-sided opinions -- maybe read the thread below and do some research
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ttom-feed-juice-box-mods-available-links.html

i get the impression that the OP came here because there mind is already made up.. theres no hiding quality. or experience.. robs not new at this.... and his first customer is every bit as important to him as his next... if your looking to "collect mods" get both.. if your looking for the "one and done" your in the right house.....

Hi Blight231, fellow Reonauts have given you great responses. I just want to add that you are one of the lucky ones... you learned about Reos before you spent another one or two hundred bucks trying to find a better vape! The only downside, you'll you will want another one right away because god forbid anything happens to the Reo that led you to vape heaven.

In Reovil you will meet a lot of people who have been there and done that, myself included. Unfortunately, you just missed a sale last Thursday and Reo Minis were still available until Saturday or Sunday I think... if you really want one, keep your ear to the ground -- that's what I did. Here's a link that you should check for sales announcements:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...dates-sales-information-most-recent-info.html

Good luck! :)

i couldn't agree more.... i started looking for "the" bottom feeder that would work best for me quit a wile back now... i had bought several and even made a few of my own before i got my first reo..... Ive gifted and swapped away what i didn't like...
if i would have started with the reo i probably would have just collected reo's instead of a bunch of juice box style mods...
don't get me wrong there are a couple mods i have that i love for different reasons...
form/function/reliability/durability all go to the reo..... and there dang sweet looking to boot...

I can't speak to other bottom feeders so I won't make any comparisons because I have never used any others.

My Reo Grand is simple, reliable, bullet proof, flexible, easy to use and vapes consistently. It has great customer service with both the mod maker and this wonderful forum filled with people always will to go the extra step.

One of the most important features of the Grands and Minis is that they have no wires to break loose or hassle with. It's fully mechanical. That was a huge seller for me. I had a squirt-through-the-needle mod like Missy's Wetbox and of course the juice flowed down the needle, onto the bottle and wires. Messy stuff and it ruined it over several months.

Always make sure you get a good look at the feed system on a mod. If it isn't closed you will have leakage on those pretty wires and you'll have problems by the bucketfull. Grands and Minis have a soft plastic tube that feeds to the atty and any excess juice flows back into the bottle.

If there was something better out there I'd have it, but nothing beats my minis. Many here will say the same and that's why Rob can't make enough of them to keep up with demand.

:)
