Twist is great. I just find the 1000mah to be a little bulky for carrying around all day when I am at work or out and about, thus my collection shown above. The 650mah easily covers my wake, commute, breaks at work, commute back home with no problems. The blue one even last for a good while after I got home, so I think my usage is going to be 1000mah sitting at home, and when I get back home, I'll use whichever 650 is in rotation while the 1000mah charges and then switch out. I'm not super paranoid about battery charging, but I'm also not gonna "take any chances" and charge one while I'm gone all day to work. :)

I started with one 650mah Twist in black. Found the blue one online and got it. Then added the 1000mah blue with yesterday's vapemail. I'm feeling "just right" for batteries I need. Want is another story. :) They have the Twist in red and green as well. Accessorizing with your PV is a must of course. :)
Personally, I can't ever see myself having a 1000mah. That's too large for me. I will, however, probably eventually pick up another 650. My one Volt X2 is pretty much relegated to being a pass-through until it dies. After that, I guess I'll be all 510 from there on out.

I might, however, just give my X2 and accessories to a friend, and just get a 510 pass-through, so I don't have to keep 510 and 808 cartos and clearos separate.

My first ecig was a stealth kit from E Cigarettes By Choice 7's (well, their previous site, this one is their new one.)

Looking at the price, retrospectively, I paid as much for this crap as I did for my KGO kit.

To be fair their juice is okay, and not unreasonably priced. But christ, $80 for a battery that'll last you maybe three hours.

I think that anybody whose gotten seriously into vaping has a moment where they have this revelation that they paid too much for too little at first because they didn't know any better. While I'll be happily ordering a $53 bottle of gorilla juice from ave come thursday, and another $40 in cartos, rubber mouthpieces and a jtank skirt from myvaporstore.com, I'm not going to shell out on the newest best trendy stuff just because it's there. I don't know that having a VV will improve my vaping experience. I don't know that having a $50 pretty shiny tank will be worth it.

Right now I'm more worried about the more affordable and small scale project of finding a handful of juices to keep me happy, and THEN maybe i'll look at other hardware options, such as the ego-c tank system, or maybe an ego twist. But I'm not going to shell out that much money on something just because some random OP on a forum thinks i ought to.
A Twist battery is pretty good and pretty cheap IF you already have some 510 items (chargers, cartos, etc.) that will fit on it. But, like the rest of us, in due time you will have what you want.

I can get the cheap ones that my sister still smokes for 3 packs for $7.50 after tax, or there is actually some a bit cheaper, and the ryo I smoked I could get a bag of that for $6.50 that was enough to last me a week. So while this is cheaper than smoking in many areas, it's not for someone like me. Add to that lack of income and ok I might like a lot of the items out, what I like and what I buy is 2 different things tho.

If people want to call me cheap because of it, that's fine. They aren't supporting me, I am.

Amen to that.

From what I understand my KGO usb charger should work fine with ego batteries, yes?

In any case it's not a plan within my immediate future. I just ordered two new batteries as my chain vaping has reduced the life of my KGOs significantly (which I expected, i am pleased they still last about 12 hours. I'm realistic about it) but maybe after THIS set of batteries gets worn out i'll have a look. Presumably by that point I'll have more or less found at least 3 staple juices and a few favorite delivery systems.

According to this thread...yes, your Kgo Charger should charge and Ego Twist with no problems. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/307575-kgo-charger-1000mah-twist-batteries-2.html

In almost any hobby, unless they have a family member/friend in it, they usually do buy crappy over priced stuff because they are new, my first vapor was a gas station one enjoy, then bought a 510 kit, and now after being on the site and learning from others I am saving up for a Reo. Its knowledge and getting to know what you like both take time. Yeah you might be a little in the red at first but you save your health and once you find the kit you like the cost will go down. because all you will need to buy is juice. just my :2c:

Why buy one, when you can have 3? :p

lol!! I agree!! Why buy one when you can have MANY! I have quite a lot more, but they wouldn't fit in my hand. Oh and the reason there is only one Twist in the lineup is because I am hoping they will come out in embossed and engraved SOON!!!

To Pappy.
Cheap, is not necessarily the same as thrifty and careful. As someone else mentioned here, there are SO many different ecigs, so newbies have to do more research. Obviously the more they researh the more they find, and the more they see how varied the prices are from vendor to vendor.

I believe the individual is skeptical at first to putting money into something as "magical" as vaping. I mean seriously, when you hear people talking about quitting smoking almost immediatly with minimal side effects and enjoying themselves while doing it seems REALLY far fetched.

Incomes have steadily dropped since '08 and most people have far less expendable income. Granted, they will save money from not smoking analogs, but they have to find the right combination of juice, equipment, and value to do so.

Are the embossed/engraved ones genuine Joyetech or clones? I never could figure that out.

Exactly!! I see that all the time with friends and family. Like can you REALLY have your cake and eat it too? Does it really, really work etc...

The eGo-K and eGo-Q are made by another company, not made by Joye as far as I can tell.

i spent ALLOT of money when i was still new to vaping; now its cheap. i DIY my own juice, my provari is paid for, and i just buy an occasional tank carto, tank, or battery. when you DIY your own juice and use the same high quality PV vaping suddenly becomes ALLOT cheaper then cigarettes. buy something like a provari, buzz pro, ect and the unit itself lasts a long time. when i tell people that my provari costs $180 their jaw drops but then i tell them i have had it 8 months already and i ask them how much they have spent on cigarettes in 8 months; most people have no idea. i dont think they even realize how much money they waste on cigarettes that rot their insides.

hehe... I LOVE my pretty eGo's. What or who is Vaporgirl?

I guess not. Oops. :p

Vaporgirl is a new-ish vendor from my neck of the woods who sells some products that are more effeminate than your typical PVs.

I am really digging some of those designs BTW. Are those battery sleeves, or do you buy them already like that? Where? The one on the far left is pretty snazzy. Maybe I like the 5th one from the left more. Hmmm?

You MUST tell us which vendor this is!

Darn!!!! I just realized that my dreams of waiting for the eGo-Twist to come out in fancy designs are all shattered since Joye makes the Twist lol... Ah, well.

P.S. Hey, I have an idea!! Maybe Joye can clone the eGo-Q & K?

hehe.. that is hysterical! It happens in every single thread that is trying to 'save money' kind of thing lol!!! Your avatar suits you BTW. As Good As It Gets happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time.

OK, I buy all my stuff from Health Cabin ! The eGo's actual casing is engraved in the K range and the Q range it has a kind of embossed metal sleeve/wrap thing. I love the feel of them!
