Hello everyone,

When I came to vaping like many others I started out with cartos and came to like them quite a bit. Over the month I found my love in dripping and used attys and nothing else. Now with my new job approaching I see the need for cartos again and got myself some Boge 2.0 ohm cartos a month ago. I admit they are very nice easy to fill and vape like a champ no complains there.

Now I read daily the standard stuff such as "OMG these smoketech dual coils are the most amazing thing EVER" "I'll never go back after trying dual coils I love them" I could go on but you get my point.

Being the person that I am I got my CC out and ordered 10 smoketech dual coils. Now with the first 2 I had a horrible experience burnt taste (probably did not wait long enough for the juice to settle) lil vapor just not what I was expecting after hearing all the hype.

I get 3 CLEAR dual coils out and fill them up let them sit for a whole day and check them and everything is nice and wet and guess what? They still perform beyond horrible. No more burnt taste but in a head to head comparison I would still choose Boge 2.0 ohm to the dual coils any day of the week.

What are your thoughts about it? Still a die hard dual coil fan or have you that loved them before so much noticed any issues with them? I just placed an order for 50 boges because I just can't seem to like these dual coils.

I use the Boges and Smoktech LR's (2.0 ohm single coil on 3.7volt batteries) and I personally have found my best vaping experience so far. I like the warmth and the flavor they produce. I am also interested in seeing what everyone has to say because there seems to be such a buzz about them. If I'm persuaded, I will just break down and get them because I'm always looking for the next better thing but if it never materializes then I know I will be very happy with my 2.0 carts.

One more thing to note: I just started using a SLB Riva true 3.7 volt battery as opposed to the regular Ego batteries that run at more like 3.4 volts and below and I do notice a better performance with the higher voltage even though the voltage increase is minimal. Just my 2 cents on that issue....

i never have any problems with them, i've been using the clears and i blow them out if they aren't performing right and then they work fine, if they're to wet they flood kind of easily but usually they're fine. i can't compare em to the boge 2 ohms but i have some of thoughs on the way so ill be able to soon :) i still love these things though great throat hit and vapor and good juice capacity. no idea why you are having problems with em though everyone likes different things i guess.

It's been a long time since I used the boges. I thought they were great when new, but after one or two fills, the performance dropped off quite a bit. I went on to other things like ce2s and various tank setups, each with their own issues.

Now I have been using the duals and really like them. They hold a ton of juice, about 55 drops on average. They give great vapor and taste for me. AND they are easy to take apart, clean and re-assemble,, they are good as new. I haven't had one die on me yet. A couple of them have been going more than 3 weeks with cleanings every 2 or 3 days.

I wonder if the folks that are having issues are using thicker liquids. I typically use 80pg/20vg stuff and I have yet to experience trouble with burning etc.

What juice do you use???

I have both the dual coils and boge 2ohm cartos. From what I've been through you can't beat an LR boge at 3.7 volts but once you get above about 4.3 volts these dual coils are beasts. The vapor gets thick and warm. And flavor is on par with dripping IMO. I vape at 5 volts and use Bobas all day in a dual coil. No wicking problems here just keeping them nice and wet.

Posters.... Please specify the voltage you are running them at. Thanks...

^ this. Plus... better specify the device. And the ohms on the duals. These things need AMPs. Some sites say not for use with eGo, etc. and only for true 3.7 volts, for example (like 14500's on up). Basically, you need to be able to have enough volts and amps to drive two 3.2 ohm coils at the same time (for a 1.6 ohm dual).

The small difference in voltage is a bigger difference in watts. Example:

3.4 volts at 1.6 ohms is 2.1250 amps and 7.225 watts
3.7 volts at 1.6 ohms is 2.3125 amps and 8.55625 watts

I sold all mine. I was using them on a REO at 3.7 and they made me feel like I either had to vape half as often or cut all my juice in half - of course that could be a good thing, but I didn't want to change what was working for me.

I don't understand the mechanism, but I really did feel like I was getting twice the nicotine from a DC.

I'm trying out a black one right now and I got to say, the Clearo's work better.
I also just got in some of the clear duals today and will see if they are any better.

I'm using a 3.7 Nico and a 5V 2A with mine...............

And... And....(waiting for your review of the clear duals [and still dripping]).

If anything was going to get me to waste $$$ on carto crap again, it was the duals..... clear sounds like a good idea in a carto. Sigh.

You don't like your dual coils because your not using them at 6v :p. Anyways I preferred them on my riva. One fill in the morning which is a little over 2 Mils would last me till I got home that night. Plus the vapor is better and less liquid in my mouth than the nodes when u ran them hot. The filler is down further in the carto than the boges

im using mine on an older riva 901 with adapter so 3.3v maybe 3.4? have a newer riva se coming so will be 3.7v soon, they won't work on my passthrough so sadly can't try em at 5v :( the clear ones are awesome though get to know when they need to be filled and they're easy to take apart and dry burn/clean, allot better then boiling cartos and baking etc. i do notice the wick material arround the coil and air tube things are burnt when i take em apart, but there's enough there you can just turn em upside down so there's no burnt part on the coil, i usually tare off the burnt part and do this and it's good as new. hopefully the boge's will compare for me so i didn't waste my money on em either way i still love and am gonna keep using my dual coils also :)

My review on clearos---I like em, I really like them. I have to really boost the flavoring in them though.
My favorite is still dripping with the RN4081 though on the mods I was talking about.

Sorry, I don't do reviews unless you count my post here there and everywhere.

Ooops sorry just noticed you wanted the review on the clear duals.

Trust me I put the 2 3v bats in my PV and gave it a shot as well and still not sold on them. I don't know what it is every time I see one of these "oh my god these DC just rock" I give them another try and end up being more disappointed then I was before. I really try to like them but so far it just ain't happening.

At 3.7v they just suck so much it is hard to put in words and as said before at 3.7v I would go always with Boge 2.0 ohm instead of those DC's. I give them another try once again at 6v and see what they have in store for me today. lol

I've tried the dual cores and my experience has been good. I wouldn't say I like them any better than Boge but not worse either. I use VV though and someone with fixed voltage might see more benefit than I do, they do hold more juice. The clear ones are cool as you can see the juice, Boge needs to come out with those.

Personally I prefer Boge, they hit about the same imo, last just as long before I have to toss them and don't drain my batteries as fast.
