I always wondered why people ask "what is the best mod?"

To me there is no such thing as "the best mod" and yes i will say it but i preferred my kamry x6 over the provari. (Let the hate start) and yes i prefer my k100 over my buddies nemesis. But i guess I'm one of those people that look at mods as what i want out of it and thats to just give me a good enough battery life and able to work.

Even my buddy with the nemesis said he will always love his ego twist more then any mod he has owned.

So exactly what did you like about the x6 better than the Provari? I had a dozen eGo twists at one time, I have zero today.

I guess it is "to each there own". Everybody finds a unique something something about a certain mod and it becomes the best one out there. It's all about personal preference & choices I suppose....

I'm with RHT66 on this; mental and physical satisfaction and confidence in your gear.

I am looking for my best highly portable device and I have gone through so many things to find it. I could have replaced all my Provari several times over and I have a pile of stuff that I will never use again.

Sometimes finding the right fit can be very hard. I am trying to find large battery, medium battery, and small battery devices. I am happy where I ended up with my large battery device. The small device has been nothing but frustration.

Why? Its simple. 5clicks to change voltage. Small sized but had a 1300 mah battery. I dont need everything else like what the provari offers i find it useless, so why would i spend like $160 on a mod that has stuff i wont even use? When i could spend $30 on a x6 and have it simple and a big enough battery to satisfy me?

I agree. It's like asking what's the best car. Ask 10 people and you'll get 10 different answers and they are all the correct answer for those people.

Performance means different things to different people. Hence the difference in preferences. Glad you found your sweet spot ;)

Ahh, now your buddy is talking blasphemy here ... I'm eagerly awaiting my Nemesis and suspect it will quickly become my favorite mod.

OK, ok, I'll never let my old faithful K100 get left in the dust, but what that puppy doesn't know won't hurt it either

My large is a ProVari, medium a ProVape-1 and small a Johnson Creek VEA with a carto or Halo Triton 400mAh and carto. For cigalikes, NJOY kings.

My friend and I started vaping at the same time using the same gear and we were equally happy. 6 months later, I use a VW mod with a KFL and he uses a mech mod with an RDA. Still both equally happy in what we use. Everyone has there own taste in vaping that they must find. All we can do is try and help guide them on their way.

I wish I had ignored 75% of the guidance I have received. I would be far better off listening to the right 25%

I would be going through 5-10 Njoys a week, that would be expensive and I would lack a lot of flavors. What do the VEA and Halo Triton bring to the table that the other eGo devices don't? I like the Provari for home but I don't think the ProVape 1 would be that great in the field.

The 5 clicks to change voltage is a common thing. When people say they want the best they are often not specific enough on what they are looking for but they don't know enough to ask the right questions.

Have you ever used the devices that you don't like? I had to find out for myself on most of this stuff.

When I described what I was looking for I got things suggested to me that would not fit. The people that suggested the big battery system I have now I felt like were knocked down by people suggesting cheaper things that didn't work out that well for me.

Even if deciding what was best was not as subjective as it is, there's no way to do it unless you have tried all possibilities, and no one has. Best usually just means someones favorite at the time.

I will agree many times that is the case but sometimes people ask for special requirements that would be best for them and only a single device matches the description.

There are things that I can define that would fit the way I live and I cannot find a single example that would fit the criteria so the one that matched would be best be default.

The VEA and Halo Triton seemingly have better battery life and longevity than other ego style batteries on the market. The VEA, especially, is extremely well made, plus has a 510 connection. The Triton also charges in significantly less time than other ego style batteries. It isn't a knockoff, but a custom battery for Halo. I also quit smoking after getting a Halo starter kit, which is why I still have and use them.
