Why Buy an Ego Rapid Usb Charger

What actually does a Rapid Usb Charger do differently than a regular one?? Does it really charge faster and are there any reasons I should buy one.

On the rear of the charger you should see a label that lists its output.
The fast chargers are 400ma or higher output. The 510 cig-a-like type chargers will work, but they'll take a lot longer, especially if you're charging something like a 1000mah ego.

I just looked at the output of my charger and it is 420 ma,Is this a rapid charger???

420mah output is a standard ego charger. I've seen 450 output which I suppose would charge a bit faster.

And don't use a charger that outputs too much because it WILL cause the battery to overheat and potentially explode.

I would stick with standard 420. Anything higher is above recommend ratings.
