why can’t a non-smoker vape?

Others are .......s who don't give a damn about others. These people smoke near their kids, around their non-smoking spouses and their pets. They smoke in public places where lots of non-smokers have to put up with their second-hand smoke. They poison the air of nightclubs and bars, leaving the people who frequent those places with compromised lungs and shortened lifespans. These smokers are horrible people, and I hope they all get lung cancer and die painful deaths.

To be honest, the behavior you're describing has nothing to do with smoking.
These people are just .......s.

To bundle them into a little box with Smokers, even if the box is divided into two compartments, is unfair.

First of all, you don't want us to "judge" people who may decide to vape, even though they don't smoke, then you judge the smokers who don't act as YOU feel they should.

Secondly, having never smoked, I don't think you HAVE the right to wish people dead because of their habits. And, in most places, smoking is banned.

I am not ashamed of who I ONCE was. I am still the SAME person. I don't wish my best friend to die because she still smokes in her home and car when I am with her.
How dare you!!!!!!

My question exactly...

You don't smoke, you don't vape....

Anyone else see the pink elephant in the room?

So, you think I don't belong here?

If I wasn't on this forum. I would never had read the "New York ban" threads, and I would never had made all those phone calls/letters to the senators in New York. I never would have told all my smoker friends about e-cigs, many of whom are now considering trying them.

According to this thread, I am quite welcome to stay here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/80047-question-about-forum.html

So don't hate on me. I am not your enemy, I am here to support your cause, and will do so until the day I die.

Good point. Asking us not to judge and then doing the same yourself is rather irksome.

While, I agree that certain people can be inconsiderate when it comes to their smoking habits.
Wishing death on them is insulting and extreme.
Many of us have had loved ones actually die of lung cancer. I've seen it happen. It's a horrible slow death that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

There is a big difference!

Non-smokers who decide to vape- doesn't hurt other people.

Smokers who decide to expose others to second-hand smoke- definately hurting other people.

Yes, I will judge one but not the other.

Personally, NO, I don't. But I don't run the forum. I will express my opinion though, as this is a free society (and in the same manner in which you succinctly expressed yours).

If you aren't a vaper, past or present...or are not here to help represent us in the medical legal arena with your professional experience....

Your opinions/statements will go in one ear and out the other. It's all white noise.

Point taken :)

Ok, I have changed my opinion. I now hate all people who are selfish .......s.

You're not just judging, but wishing a horrible death upon them.:nah:

I am considering asking my p-doc about nicotine treatment, as I have disorders it could benefit (ADHD, schizophrenia, and brain damage)

OT but if you have brain damage, should you be doing all that diving? I dont know anything about what you do, but that seems to be somewhat dangerous for a person with brain damage?

Well they are forcing horrible deaths upon others. But I suppose you find that to be ok.

I suggest you read the facts, and find out how many people die from second-hand smoke every year.
I think you're the one that needs to read the facts. There is no proof that second hand smoke is anywhere close to as dangerous as you say. Where are all the bartenders and waitresses that are dying from second hand smoke? If there were many as you say, then ASH and all those other organizations would be touting those for why smoking should be banned.

Freediving does not cause brain damage.

During long breathholds the body cuts off circulation to the extremities and sends extra circulation to the brain. This ensures that the brain recieves a constant supply of oxygen.

Brain damage does not occur until 4-8 minutes after blackout. And that's only if you blackout. (Whenever a freediver blacks out, their buddy brings them to the surface to blow on their face, where the blackout ends within 5-10 seconds)

Recently there was a lot of hysteria about a study titled "apnea raises marker for brain damage". That study does not suggest that freediving causes actual brain damage, just that it raises blood levels of a certain cellular marker. (Any form of cardio excercise also raises this marker, and we all know that excercise increases brain health.)

Some studies indicate that freediving increases brainpower by improving brain circulation. It improves carotid artery function, even in former freedivers.

(P.S. In case you are wondering why I have brain damage, many years ago I tried to kill myself by overdosing on Benadryls. It had nothing to do with diving.)
