I'm new to the forum but not new to vaping persay. I am trying to figure out how some people get massive vapor (from YouTube videos) from their ecig. It seems I've tried everything out their as far as cartomizers, atomizers, Clearomizers, etc. but still don't get the vapor I want. Anyone that can help me figure this out would be greatly appreciated.

Vapor production is the least important of the Big Three, at least in my book. Flavor is most important to me for my personal enjoyment in vaping. And truth be known, throat hit is the least important; in fact, the less harsh the throat hit the better. Vapor is there just for visual enjoyment.

The amount of vapor is dependent upon the heating element and the e-liquid, and to a lesser extent an adequate power source. Vg produces more vapor than does pg in juices, so perhaps order future e-liquids in all vg or a heavier vg to pg ratio.

Some people believe that dual coil cartomizers provide more vapor due to two heating elements to just one, but they also will require a variable voltage power source of at least 4.5 voltage to acheive that, and at the expense of a higher drain on battery life and using more e-liquid.

And as noted, blowing vapor into a camera lens can be quite deceiving, although I have seen some pretty impressive clouds in some of the videos. Rebuildable atomizers have the capability to produce the most vapor of any juice delivery devices, probably because of the faster wicking of the juice than other delivery devices and a larger heating coil. But they are not particularly beginner or user friendly, certainly not something that will work easily right out of the box.

Welcome to ECF first off. I've been vaping for about 6-7 months. From the start I never tried to get a massive vape cloud. I only looked for the satisfaction from not having to smoke an analog. I'm not trying to impress people like a lot of others are. I've learned that on a camera the vape cloud looks massive when in real life it's just about right. Don't worry about what it looks like when you exhale. Just worry about finding the combination that keeps you off the stinkies.
Best wishes in your new journey.

When I was using clearomizers, I never got amazing clouds. But on cartomizers I got much better vapor production (2.7 ohms @4.8V) I also use VG heavy juices so that is part of the reason my clouds are thicker. There are a lot of factors for vapor production.

1. Juice (VG is what makes the vapor, PG is what gives you throat hit)
2. Atomizer Setup (Resistance is important if your device is NOT variable voltage or variable wattage i.e. Mods or fixed voltage devices)
3. Airflow to the atomizer is important for both vapor production and throat hit. Less airflow gives more throat hit and less vapor, more airflow gives more vapor and less throat hit.
4. Device (not as important as the first three, but having variable voltage or wattage helps when trying to get your preferred vape on any atomizer setup) Also having dependable power delivery will improve your vaping experience.

Im new to this as well, but this is what I have learned from experience so far.

Watch someone when they smoke a cigarette. It isn't like they are making clouds of smoke. So the amount of vapor shouldn't really be that important.
With that being said, It really is cool to blow big massive plumes of vapor. About three deep drags and I can make my living room hazy for a while.
