why can't i post threads on other pages?

After your 5th post there may be a short wait (up to an hour) before the system updates and allows you to post in the other sections of ECF.
Respond to the posts here and you'll quickly build your post count. You can also respond to other threads in the new users area. How long have you vaped? Smoked?
Post count builds pretty fast though, and keeps random spam from proliferating throughout the forum. It takes an hour or two after you reach the threshold for the change to take effect (database update thing).
This forum (as a whole) takes a bit of getting used to. Complicated to navigate for the newbie but Im just thankful that there is such a vibrant community (that is active enough to get "complicated"). =)
"Complicated" is such a delicate way of putting it. I've been lurking around here since March, and trying to find some random page I once stumbled upon can be down right impossible. Because of this, I tend to stick to the main pages.......
The sheer size and volume of posting at ECF makes it a complicated place. We do our best to try to keep it simple and uncomplicated, but it isn't as easy a task as you might think
Adding areas that you frequent is convenient -- you can select entire forum areas, or individual threads, then they will be stored under Settings, for quick access.
