I tend not to acknowledge these people. I do think myself better than them - just like they seem to think themselves better than me. The difference between me and them is that I don't feel the need to prove it. Ain't nobody got time for that! If they wanna waste their time, that's fine by me, but I'm not about to waste mine. I've got vaping to do! All they will ever get out of me is "I appreciate your concern." After that, the conversation is over and I am walking away, vape in hand. They tend to think that's rude, which I tend to think is ironic.

I used to care what people thought, but that ship has long since sailed....I've adopted a different outlook some time back...I didn't particularly care what people thought when I smoked so I really dont care much what they think about me vaping...I'm not the friendliest or most approachable guy in the world and people dont necessarily get the defensive response they think they will get when they express their unsolicited, low information opinions on vaping to me....I possess all the diplomacy skills of a sledgehammer...

wassup brother from another mother :)

Similar diplomacy skills especially now that I've quit smoking. First two weeks I was REALLY bad but, now I just lack any patience for anyone that is useless to me. Had a disagreement of complete ignorance with two distant family members on Easter. Two people that have no problem admitting they know little to nothing about a subject but, tell you their blanketed unresearched opinion and stance all in the same sentence. Boyfriend girlfriend. One being a smoker and the boyfriend being totally overweight and obese.

I nearly flipped the table on them. Just can't argue with "stupid". " You're still smoking" Did the usual explanations, posed questions neither could answer yet, they plowed ahead... blood boiling as I recall it actually...ha

Trust me, at some point in your vaping journey, you'll stop caring about what other people think, and you'll enjoy your vape time even more. Stay strong, vape on, ignore the ignorant masses and leave them to their own piddly existence.

Edit: never argue with an idiot. They'll only drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference between the two of you.

"Don't argue with idiots because they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience" —unknown
If someone asks about vaping, I'm more than willing to explain...that's how I got several people, including my mom, to start vaping...I had one blowhard guy at work telling me that I was still smoking and that nicotine causes cancer....lol...He is a know-it-all and there's no reasoning with him...It took a feat of superhuman control on my part not to rip his throat out...I just walked away shaking my head as I could feel my IQ quickly dropping from listening to his idiotic blather...

I think it's a power trip thing. "They" are catty and will do anything at "their" disposal to feel superior. I counteract this effect largely by not leaving the house.
No...don't you let them beat you. You stand up proud with your head held high and let them know just how good you are, they couldn't do the same I guarantee you. Don't cower, tower!

Here's another my grandmother always said: "Arguing with ignorant people is like having a battle of wits with an unarmed person" I sure do miss you, she would be vaping with me if she were still here. She was a polite southern lady and the way she would curse at someone was: "Well bless your heart, aren't you just too precious" hahahaha! People from the south know that those words are not meant as a compliment.

Commentary: My sympathies that you are suffering from TESS (Toxic Exposure to Stupidity Syndrome). There is only one cure, and that is putting the offending meatbag out of your misery. Unfortunately, society disapproves of this. I recommend being extremely stealthy and/or clever.

First time I gave it a genuine thought. We all know one. We call him the" topper" because he always tries to have a story about him that's better than yours. I mean it encompasses anything. Most of it just blatant lies. On top of that he likes to tell you HOW to do something because he's an expert on everything.

I literally think if he had met Neil Armstrong, He'd tell Mr. Armstrong that he's been to the moon twice just last week...

Kid just reeks of insecurity. I'll pull his card sooner or later...

I remember when they said that bacon that was overcooked was also linked to cancer. Truth is, nobody really knows what causes cancer. People who never smoked a day in their lives have died from cancer, people who smoked all their lives till they were 100 never had cancer. Truth is, nobody really knows what will and will not cause cancer. They grasp at straws for the most part never being able to prove anything conclusively.

Nicotine is a suspected carcinogen, and linked to pancreatic cancer at least, I think.

I have heard that hypothesis many times. Studies supporting that proposition are few and far between. Studies showing little or no connection of Nicotine and cancer are not hard to find.
