Hi all,

I asked this question in other threads but did not quite catch the answer so I am askinh it here again.

I got innokin vv/vw batteri with i clear 30s (2.1ohm). I set the watt at 10.5 and vape. As per Ohm's law i should get 4.60v. But when I press the + and - button together I see that 3.92v.

Its a large difference (4.6v vs. 3.92v). Why is that?

Additionally, safe smoking chart (below) says at 2.1ohm the maximum watt I should set at 8.40 (green area). I smoke at 10.5 to get throat hit. Am I causing more harm to myself or the battery? Can someone EASILY explain how the chart below works? There is no indication of sub ohm (with Aspire Atlantis) wattage or voltage...not sure how to go about it.

When you are regulating via watts, you vaporizer is going to either show an average voltage output level or battery state. When in Watt regulation the mod varies the volts throughout the heating cycle to maintain a consistant wattage at the coil. You will not be able to get an actual voltage reading without an Osciliscope.

I don't really know the innokin vv/vw. So I wouldn't be able to help you there.

As for the chart. It's outdated, and doesn't really apply anymore.
According to that chart subohming on a mech isn't possible, without burning everything. And I'm pretty sure that a large part of the community vil disagree.

Chart is NOT outdated, BUT it was made to be applicable to OLD STYLE EGO type batteries, which are of much lower capacity in the 2-3amp range.

Even when I tried voltage mood (set at 4.2v) and I vaped and I pressed +- button to see what was the volt..it showed me 3.86v....does not show me the watt..i would asusme the ohm is fixed (from the clearomizer) and i do not have control over amp....so confused..............all i want to find out is whether it is becoming dangerous to smoke at 20w-25w swith sub ohm...as I have ordered an MVP 3 with aspire atlantis...

which ones are old ego style batteries?

use your sense of taste to determine if it is getting to much heat... there are no hard set rules as far as vaping goes... there are many factors involved that can change the settings required to make the vape taste good....

different atties with the same juice and same ohms at the same watts can be as different as no flavor/heat to burnt nastyness...

its kind of like cooking... you may like salty food while others dont... its a matter of preference

when in VV mode there are 2 readings.... the volt to fire to and the volt of the battery.... and some new VV mod actually show the volts due to voltage drop when it is turned on...
20-25W for sub ohm is mild.....
