Why do I feel like I can hear/feel the PWM in my new Sig Zmax V5?

Also power level. On my Vamo, with a brand new carto in my tank, and the power set low at 4 or 5 watts, I get the "rattlesnake" noise. Goes away at higher power and after the coil breaks in.

I hear the "rattlesnake" every time I vape. I'm doing 6.5 to 7.5 watts on a Sigelei Zmax V3 with 1.8 to 2.0 ohm stainless steel cartos in a glass carto tank. Does the rattlesnake degrade vapor quality? Nope, not bit as far as I can tell. Some people just don't like the sound. Some Provari owners think their rigs make better vapor without the sound.

Its a poorly regulated mod. You get to have a fairly cheap mod and ok to poor performance or spend close to 200$ and have great regulation. Unfortunately there is no in between at this time.

Also interesting. I don't know how sure I am about the quality of the filtering having anything to do with heating a coil. Coil gets power and heats up, whether it's a solid feed or pulsed feed. Especially my coils which are 28 gauge Kanthal wrapped around a needle. They take a while to heat up and a while to cool down, so I don't see how the width of the pulse would change anything.

All good info, thanks all.
