It took me two days to leave the analogs alone. I had to learn "how" to vape to get the satisfaction. Then I had to play around with my juice to get the vapor, TH, flavor, etc. to be right for me. Enjoy the experimentation of a new experience and if you need an analog during those first rough patches, don't worry about it. Just don't give up on vaping. I really didn't want to quit. I just needed to get through a non-smoking business trip. Now I don't want to smoke. I enjoy the freedom of vaping! No dropping ashes, no panic that I might not have enough to last until I can get to the store, no wondering if I left one burning in another room . . . okay, I still catch myself wondering that! LOL My last pack is in the refrigerator so I know I can light up if I choose. . . I'm just not interested anymore. And I'm only on week 3 after 40+ years of a PAD or more.

Go to the information page for beginners and read up on how to vape. It could make a world of difference for you.

Best wishes and welcome!!

Mine was a pg/vg mix problem as well. I ordered one each separately and started doing a little measuring out and trying different mixes until I hit on my personal blend. Some people have problems with too much pg, some with too much vg. This forum pretty much has all the information you need and if you can't find what you're looking for, there's great support here to point you to where to look and what to consider. It will take a little time, but you'll get there!

You can use any blank KR808D-1 cartos that are 2.5 to 3 ohm (2.5 being the hotter end of the range). I use V4L WOW cartos and Bloogplanet cartos. Anything lower than 2.5 ohms is not for slim batteries. Anything higher than 3 is usually for high voltage mods.

And really get some reasonable juice wo you can get decent drags.

Re V4L juices for whoever said they didn't satisfy him - their WOW juices have very good hit and my all day vapes for the last 11 months are 2 V4L WOW juices that satisfy me enough that i was able to drop my nic level repeatedly. So it depends on the person, the juice, the equipment.

Somewhere out there
I smoked and vaped for a about 4-6 wks. I used tobacco and menthol flavors. It did take me awhile to wean off analogs and I had some severe cravings in the beginning. But I found out as time went on I wasn't really liking a cigarette at all, even tho my craving was there. So I persevered and just vaped anytime I got a severe craving and finally the cravings went away and so did that nagging "I want a cigarette now" voice in my head LOL. Once all the bad stuff from cigs get out of your body that craving subsides, at least it did for me. I am off cigs now since 9-15 so 3 1/2 months today:) bnrk

I felt trapped if I didn't have access to cigarettes. I didn't smoke them, but I needed to know they were there. It's like claustrophobia or something.

I still have an unopened pack in my freezer, once I quit totally I haven't touched them. But I needed to know they were there. Psychological I know LOL bnrk

Yes, I feel exactly the same way!!! When I went to move my pack of cigs after hubby left for work, and I found that they were empty, I FLIPPED OUT. I kept trying to tell myself "It's ok.. you have an e-cig now," but I still panicked. lol

hey, it works. I remember when we were cleaning out my grandmother's house, we threw away a 20 year old pack of cigs from when she quit. 20 years!

I got an Ego kit and I ended up quitting the first day! The e cig totally satisfied my cravings and just out of curiosity to see the difference I lit up a smoke and puffed the e cig both. I took about 5 drags and put it out. I haven't had any cravings yet and I sure hope it stays that way. Everyone is different and like someone mentioned earlier, you can use both and slowly ween yourself off. Find what works for you and stick to it. Good luck!

Hi Heather, Just wanted to tell you that you are doing amazingly well, cigarette cravings are the worst, but my little trick was to let myself puff on my smokestik (similar to V4l e-cigs) all day long so that i wouldn't get to the point of having a withdrawal. After about a week i was not having to have it in my mouth ALL day, just when i would normally smoke. 2 weeks in and i really didn't desire a cigarette anymore i desired my e-cig, and just the thought of having a cigarette now makes me feel sick. You WILL get there, stick with it and in a little time you WILL be smoke free.

First of all, remember that you are going to go through some withdrawal. There's no avoiding it. We have ingested more than just nicotine for many years and now you're body is going to go without. It's not just nicotine that we get addicted too. It's the other crap in a cigarette also.

You can either slowly move away from smoking or tough it out and not smoke at all. There's no shame in how you go about doing it. Make sure you drink plenty, and I mean plenty, of water. This will help your body flush out all of the toxins.

Other than drinking plenty of water, you may need to get a bottle of eliquid stronger than you have for when the cravings hit you hard. One thing that helped me was to go out and walk. I would take my ecig and walk as fast as I could while I puffed on it. When I got back, I didn't have any desire to smoke. It went on for a few days but I beat it and so will you. So maybe try some exercising if you can. Anything to occupy yourself...especially something that you liked doing that you didn't smoke while doing (yes I know I left that last comment wide open...just keep it PG rated...LOL).

V4L is having a sale right now. Enter BEATCLOCK5 for the current discount...it's at 35% off right now until 11am CST.

Hi Heather,
Isn't this forum great? You've already received lots of encouraging and informative replies. Honestly, I don't think I'd be off of the stinkies if it weren't for the support and information that I've received here.

The ecigs are great and do mysteriously seem to just "work" for most who go whole hog with them. Add in the kind and generous support of the people here and you have a winning combo.

I smoked the pack that I had left after getting my vaping gear and by the time they ran out the desire to buy more was just gone. It was amazing to go to the places I would normally buy cigs and not even think about them. It really took me by surprise.

I did have cravings for them and have at times been frustrated by the learning curve with the gear and juices, but nothing bad enough to want to go back to the stinkies.

One thing I'm pretty certain of is that nobody here is going to think badly of you if you continue to smoke to get over a hump in your vaping journey. We'll all just be rooting for you to keep on experimenting with the vaping gear until you find your comfort zone.

Best wishes on your journey from another newbie... :)

Hi Heather - as pretty well everyone has already said, take it at your own pace and what you feel you need to do to stay sane. And, for goodness sake, do not beat yourself up if you have a cig along the way. As has been said before, every cig that you don't smoke is a win for you! Wow - 36 mg - whew! That's pretty harsh and I'm sure you will find it is much easier on 24 mg. For myself, I have to take a good long 'drag' to feel satisfied and 24 mg does it for me at the moment. Although my next order of juice will be 18 mg. Just take it a day at a time. It takes a while to find the right hardware that suits you and the right juices that hit 'that spot'. But, once you do, I think you will be amazed at how well you do.

It's more than the nicotine we crave when we smoke cigs so, although you are getting that nic looked after, there is all the other 4000 chemicals working their way out of your system. Be damn proud of yourself for taking this first step. It is a real learning curve and this forum is a great place to get help, advise and support. Hang in there! It does get easier, I promise!
