Ok I have a hankering to find a new mod as I haven't bought anything for a while and I've been looking at Tc mods, but what's the benefit of them?
Is the vape more consistent?
Will I be able to put more juice through my tank before needing to change wicks or coils?
Also am I right in thinking that with tc I could ramp the wattage up and the heat up time would be much quicker but the temp control would kick in and stop the power getting too high?

Correct on all accounts. I wasn't impressed with the first TC setup until I found my spot. (Joules and temp) settings. I rarely go to kanthal anymore. Im to old to try to impress anybody with giant clouds. Not that TC cant blow clouds, it can. The IPV D2 is reat at TC in a small size. The IPV4 is great to but bigger. The seiglei 75w is supposed to be good also.

you want to control the temperature of your vape? tc is for you
you like cooler vape overall? tc is for you
you like cooler tank overall? tc is for you
you like never getting a dry hit? tc is for you

i have tried both, honestly... i've been going back and forth, clouds with kanthal are noticeably bigger, flavor better too at higher wattages, but others might have different experiences

wouldn't hurt to have both and a mod to utilize both

Personally I don't feel you do, but we all like different things. I bit into the hype of TC and didn't like it no matter what i tried. The guy at the vape shop said if you get it right it's amazing. So I tried his "perfect" setup for his liking and I still didn't like it.

The selling point of "no dry hits" is irrelevant to me as I don't get dry hits with kanthal either. I didnt notice any difference in flavors or anything. Just a sub par hit compared to what I like.

Your right on all counts but it may or may not be for you.

I don't hate it but I don't love it either.

I won't say I've washed my hands of it but I'm not currently using it.

I'd say its perfect for people who just wanna vape. Somebody who has never touched a vape rig could be in heaven in about two minutes with TC. If your in it for the hobby then you can get the same results without it.

for me and the only reason i not only want but i actually do NEED TC is because when i first got into this hobby i bought really strong juice all 24mg and to save my life i could not vape it..so what i do now is i set the temp control on 400-450F and it keeps my juice in check and i can smoke it without coughing out a lung or tearing a hole in my chest

I'm fairly new to tc, and typically build my own coils. The fact of no dry hits drew me in and for the most part I didn't have that issue with nichrome or kanthal. So far Tc has been good for me and I enjoy it on my ipv3li. But where I have run into a slight issue is building DC with ni wire. It is very low resistance and difficult to build duals in a tank. True once I found the sweet spot with my tanks it has been great but there was some trial and error to get there. I have a tct that will consistently run 500f (not my coils) but others only 350f. All in all I like Tc but have friends that dont, hope this helps and doesn't add to the confusion lol.

Can't you buy that same juice at 0mg and get 12mg??

Or just mix it with VG at 50/50. I've found that tootle puffer juice, and 24mg is tootle approved, has at least twice as much flavoring as needed.
i do buy 12mg now and less..although i also do buy 24mg and i cut it in half with vg juice to around 12mg and i get almost double the juice depending how much i cut it, but at times i will just load straight 24mg and use the TC feature..just depends on the mood

Every temperature has a corresponding voltage to resistance ratio. Why not just learn what they are?

Hard to say if you "Need" TC.

Do you get Dry Hits on a somewhat Regular Basis?

Are you Wanting to Push the Watts/Temperature to the Fullest with the Hardware/e-Liquids that you have?
