I have been trying to do the DIY thing for about a month now only because I bought some juice from a vender at the mall that was to be Spearmint and it tasted so much like Potpouri that I tried to give it to 2 other people and it ended up in the trash so I figured I can make my own crap and throw it away a lot cheaper. So I ordered about 20 different flavors from 2 different venders recomended from this site and about 80% of them have some level of this Potpouri taste and smell. What is in this stuff that we inhale? (True story) My wife years ago bought a bag of Potpouri and threw it in the closet for about 6 months and decided to make a cake, the pan in the closet smelled like Potpouri so it was washed several times and the cake tasted the same way theses flavores do. All the pans and the cake ended up in the trash. Now I spent about 5 hrs. yesterday reading and searching this here and have already tried most of the recomendations and still no luck. The best part is I found a thread that suggested to try some without the flavoring to make sure it was not the NIC juice, And low a behold it tasted great, no smell or BAD aftertaste and have been vaping it all day yesterday. Now I have come up with a couple of juices that I have been vaping all day for about 3 weeks and I think are really good and will continue to use them, but what do I do with all the junk I have, should I wait 6, 12, 18 moths and try them again. I tried to make some Spearmint yesterday, The flavoring has already been sitting for about 3 weeks and tried several different ratios from 1%-2%-5%-10% and 15% and all tasted like Potpouri and ended up in the trash. The cost of the Flavoring is cheap but all the wasted PG, VG, NIC and my time makes it not worth it. How can I tell if any flavor is actually from a the item it is supposed to tast like or if if it is chemically manufactured in a .... lab? I can open a bottle of flavoring, take a sniff and right then I can tell it will end up in the trash. I have tried several different flavors from the vender at the Mall and only had 1 that tasted this way so I guess my main ? is should I keep trying all the venders out there or just keep the couple I have including the unflavored that I am using right now??
