I know a lot of folks who are very into vaping and have for so long, but still buy juice from a certain company. I know the benefits of DIY as in being cheaper, mix and match to meet the needs of yourself personally, etc. But for me, it seems the disadvantages are worse. I for one have a fiancé that seems to talk to me and ask me to do things ONLY when I'm mixing it seems lol, I have 2 dogs running around the house, and I'm also impatient/have other things to do. I'm finding myself (6 months vaping/smoke free) to just buy juices online and also coil heads that I don't need to rebuild. How about you?

I suck... tried three times in the past 3 years... and by try... I mean I purchased good nic and base... lots of flavorings from a variety of companies... and most of my juices were unvapable... I can cook fairly well, but no matter what, my liquids seemed to lack something.

I like to enhance my juices.... or mix simple flavors... but diy is just not my gift

same here i paid 40 bucks for a master kit and it came with 8 tpa flavors. noting tastes good. steeped for a week and still the only favor i even think tastes normal is peanut butter at 15 percent flavor. 50/50 pg vg 6mg nic. other flavors like butterscotch will kill u at 5 percent. im gonna place an ejuice order next month at mtbakervapor and along with it im gonna buy 2 flavoring bottles that have 2 or 3 different favors in it. try that and if it dont work i quit! just go back to buyin juice.

Eh, I'm just not interested. I've never been very good at cooking, primarily because I just have trouble understanding how to put flavours together. I mean, I can barely manage to make a tasty sandwich, the idea of fiddling with various flavourings is not very appealing to me. Juice is so cheap compared to cigarettes where I live ($13.50 a pack and I was a PAD smoker) so it's plenty money-saving for me just to buy it pre-made.

Basically, I'm just not a person who enjoys fiddling with stuff myself. I don't DIY anything -- it's not enjoyable for me, and I'm happy to spend a little more and save myself the time and what would be (for me) a boring pursuit.

Not to be a contrarian but I DIY my own Juice and it tastes delicious.

To play the Devil's advocate

Negatives:
1. Time consuming
2. Need to have an idea of how to use flavors
3. Basic Mathematical Skills for figuring Nic strength

Positives
1. Make it to my own taste
2. Way, Way , less expensive
3. Use the highest quality ingredients, all Organic Flavorings and VG

I agree though we all have talents. The only plant I've ever grown successfully is a Cactus and I wouldn't even know where to begin repairing a car. But I'm a pretty good cook.

Oof! Trying to imagine myself making my own stuff (juice or building/rebuilding), and all I can say is "maybe one day?"
I've been in this for a little over a month, so I'm still too new to even think about it.
Considering I looked at my Evod tanks for an entire day before filling and vaping them? I'm taking the What About Bob "Baby Steps" approach to all of this.
A cigarette will never touch my hands or lips, ever again, unless someone sticks one in my mouth and hands after I die.
I will be vaping indefinitely. No plans to taper or stop that.
No plans to make my own juice, but it's not a definite "no, never"... I do enjoy mixing what I have to get new flavors. I'll stick to that for a while.

I live in a small place so taking on any new hobby that involves needing to store stuff is a problem. That's the biggest reason why I keep putting it off.

That, and I'm very happy with the liquids I'm already using at an average of $10.00 a ml. Some more $$$, some less - sure. But I already know I'm good at shopping sales, ferreting out coupons, looking for deals - so I'm getting good stuff at the lowest possible prices. I know DIY will be cheaper, but I can live with where I'm at.

I build gadgets, I cook, I make things from scratch that most people would buy ready-made (e.g., sodas, condiments, pretzels), I rolled my own when I smoked - I'm a DIY guy by nature. But there are only so many hours in the day, I'm an apartment dweller and I'm already maxed out on time and space for "hobbies." I'm kinda hoping to avoid having to make my own juice but I'm on a tight budget and I might be forced into it eventually.

Weeki Wachee, FL.
I made a 10ml bottle of Bavarian Cream a week and a half ago, tried it the next day and it tasted like *%#^.
After a week or so I tried it again and it's pretty darn tasty. So steeping helps a lot.
I made some Bazooka Bubblegum and it was defiantly crap, so I tossed it.
Some work some don't.
But if you get it , it's very economical . The 10ml I made cost me ruffly cost me $1.00 .

I'm def a guy looking to get into DIY juice. It just seems to be a dice roll with ordering juice lately. I've been vaping for a few years now and have tried countless vendors. The problem I keep seeing is that so many juices that are highly reviewed seem to taste waay too chemically or burnt.

I'd like to try my hand at DIY but the thought is a little intimidating to be quite honest. All of these juices that I scoff at are made by people that are way more qualified than my nooby self, and if there juice sucks, what chance do I have? Aggghhh, Heather's Heavenly Vapes for the time being I guess.

I'm a new vaper and DIYer. Quite honestly, the only reason I'm mixing is the cost savings. I paid $66 for all my DIY stuff, enough to make about 50- 10ml bottles (more if I cut my nic level down) and still have flavorings left over. I haven't had any major disasters...everything I've made has been vapable with a little tinkering, and a couple of them pretty darn good!

If I had the disposable income, I'd probably just buy my juice.

I'm coming up on my 3 year vapeaverssary.....(I don't think this is a real word...:D)
For the first 18 months I chased all the juice du' jours....
Got tired of being underwhelmed by "pros"....
Started to DIY......best move I ever made in my vaping career.

It's not hard/rocket surgery....and all you could ever hope to know about it is right here.....just read it.

Don't be overwhelmed to make your own.
You will probably find your stuff is somewhere between the crap juice you waited in line to buy and that rare, OMG juice.....at $1 a ml.....

Just do it.....but do it safe.
Read....learn...ask. Somebody is always there to help.

Well, I don’t build my own coils because I can get them cheap enough. I use the Kanger T2. I haven’t found a tank I like better yet, but I still look. If I really wanted to I could buy a lifetime supply of tanks and coils right from Kanger for about $300. Since I’m still looking for the be all end all tank, I haven’t.

Juices on the other hand is a different matter. I only use 2 flavors now, sometimes I’ll add a third to see if it works for me, and if it does I’ll add it to the rotation while only keeping 2. I gave up the hunt, I no longer try every flavor I can get my hands on. Its just too much. I have tried many flavors that I liked but I had to just decide what I liked and could vape long term. The juice carousel was driving me crazy.

I find the price of these juices that I use reasonable. My issue now is that I know these juices won’t be around for the rest of my life and I can’t find out what the make up is. I know I’ll have to DIY my own sometime, its just that what I want I don’t know whats in it. Besides my wife will go nuts if I start that now

It really isn't that hard....every thing you need to know is right here......just read it and post when you have a ?......
My grogs aren't of the quality of my long lost favorite vendors.....but better or equal too 95% of the crap I paid too much for.....and waited in line for.

Tobaccos are kinda tough....expect long steep times.
Bakery and fruits are way more easy.....in my opinion....

As an added plus....mixing your own is therapeutic ..........for me it is.....

I'd like to try DIY, but really don't have the time. I also doubt I could mix juices as good as those I order. Maybe after a lot of practice I could, but again... time. Still spending less on juices than I did on the stinkies, so the financial incentive really isn't there.

Don't get me wrong, I'd have a blast doing it. I like to tinker.
