Why haven't they made a box mod with a "bypass switch"

So I was thinking why they haven't made a box mod with a bypass switch so it can be also used as a "mech mod"

Because...wait, why would you want to do that?

There are box mods that are mechs (Reo) in the sense that they deliver battery voltage only, but almost all of them (box mods) are chipped. I think most people that want mechanical devices want them wholly mechanical and that would be fairly hard to do in anything other than a tube form factor.

And there's your answer, Heespharm. A true mechanical is an extension of the battery... in it's simplest, most direct, wireless & solderless form.

Yeah but to have that option would be just a simple wiring switch.. There would be voltage drop but I'm fine with it... Just to have more options would be nice ...

Comes down to functional and design considerations. Switchgear that can handle big mech loads is different from the switchgear that is ideal for running FET switches (as on regulators). So the best solution is as mentioned having a de facto "pass through" mode on the board, which works but is usually limited to the output amperage of the board.

The BEC PRO has a "mechanical mode" but it's still limited to 10 amps / 50 watts.

The SX350's "bypass" mode is limited to 25 amps / 80 watts (at 0.2 ohms).

Any SX350 board mod will do what you want.

My tatroes atlas has by pass mode. Never use it though. The drop from the board and wiring in by pass mode just isn't as strong as my mechs.
Love my mechs and my atlas!!!!!!
