Also waiting on my kit to arrive. It doesn't have much juice that comes with it but I ordered clove and then ordered another small bottle of cherry from a second company. 18mg each as that's what I've used in those nicorette vicks vapor tube thingys I've tried to quit with in the past. Possibly I should have also got a bottle of 8mg of vanilla to cut with, but we'll try these first.

My experience so far: I still don't want a real cigarette. The pack is in my car in case I want one, but I don't. I really like the taste and flavor of vaping. I like it much better than cigarettes. There is a learning curve, and I am in the beginning of it. Maybe because it isn't easy that makes it more fun; a challenge.

The only bad part so far is that I woke up coughing up a lung! I hope all that phlegm I coughed up was the last of what was left of my smoking habit.

Kattamah,
It seems like it takes FOREVER for that first kit to get here. I ordered mine the day before a holiday, and the 4 days it took to get here were really long ;)

I really love vaping. Glad I got my Kgo, I really like it!!

The purge can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending -- everyone's different, both in how long their body purges and how it does so. But it does pass, and then you'll find you're breathing a little better, not coughing much, not producing those large amounts of phlegm your body had to produce to get rid of the tar and other crap from cigarette smoke -- it's great! As a smoker I was constantly having to clear my throat. These days, not even remotely as much -- no more than the average non-smoker.

Heh... ordered out of china as spur of the moment 'OH MY GOOD DAYS... looky what they got out now!' pre-research... I did get what was reviewed mid-shelf a few places... but I think the wait will be longer than 4 days at I'm now at like 6... oops.

Found two, more local, shops and have some varying strengths and flavors of juice coming. but even with a late night order I still think they will arrive before the device... Guess I should look it up hu? EU 8 or 8U.... I don't know. it looked cute... and I got it all kitted out so i'm sure i'll be happy when it arrives... it's just that when bit i'm chomping on... Driving my better half nuts that's for sure!

I bought some juices from Vapors, Etc. They sent me a sample of Mango juice. I officially have a juice I don't like! Eccch! It tastes like floor cleaner.

Put it away and let it sit for a week or two. Sometimes, juices made to order might start out terrible, but get better as they are allowed to steep. Revisit it in a while and see if you like it then.

Which type of carto has a harder pull (drag)? I bought 3.0 and 2.0. Is there anything that gives you more pull?
Kat, for sure. :)

Are you referring to the tightness of the draw? If so that's generally related to the cartomizer design itself rather than its resistance. Some cartomizers just happen to have a tighter draw than others. Most of them have a pretty decent draw for me, but for example, I found that the Kanger horizontal bottom coil cartos had a tighter draw, especially when used on an eGo with the cone attached. (The white ones were worse for that because the paper wrap around the carto basically closed off airflow from the end of the cone and it was like sucking an orange through a coffee stirrer.)

Which do you think has a tighter draw, a boge 2.0 or 3.0?

I like the 2.0 better but I can't remember which one has a tighter draw!

I'm not crazy about a tight draw so I'm thinking maybe the 3.0 has a tighter draw? I'll wait for Mindfields opinion.

The 2.0 and 3.0 only refer to the resistance of the heating coil inside. If they are both Boge or Smoktek the actual draw should be the same as long as their is decent QC in the factory. I know that there is sometimes a difference between the clear style and the other finishes, but this is due more to the material (plastic tends to be thicker in the clear versions, etc.). The 2.0 should create a warmer vapor when used at the same voltage as the 3.0.

Good luck from Norway as well. Don't hesitate with questions and/or outcrys for support. This forum's amazing!

Keep going, but be prepared that your cigarette craving might become replaced by an insatiable gearlust for other e-cig models, mods, that new atty/carto etc etc.

It's worth it. And great fun!

Happy vapin'

Gearlust - that is the perfect word for what I am experiencing!!

Waiting for that first Starter Kit was tough - it felt like Christmas when it arrived!

To be honest I haven't really noticed much difference between them. They both have a very comfortable draw for me, about right in the middle of what I'd consider too tight and too airy.

Wheee, it's been one whole week that I have been vaping. And I have to say, I love it.

1. I love waking up and my mouth tastes fresh.
2. No more coughing
3. No cigarette cravings
4. No weight gain or food cravings

All in all, vaping is pretty cool. In this week, I smoked 3 analogs. I smoked one the first day. And I smoked two on Saturday night. Not too sure why, but maybe it was because I spent six hours in a place where I couldn't vape. After that I just wanted a bottle of wine and a cig. The first tasted good. The second tasted like crap. I am still keeping my old pack of Newports around, "just in case I want one", so I don't feel like "I can't have one".

I am still learning, and have not really found a flavor I love yet. If you have any recommendations of your favorite flavors, that would be great. :p:vapor:

I love vaping. My first week has been a success, thanks to you guys!

Congrats on your success! Sounds like you're doing really well. Keeping the cigs around does no harm as far as I'm concerned, and to a degree can be beneficial for, as you pointed out, avoiding the temptation and desire created by telling yourself you can't have one. I've found that vaping works so well that it doesn't even matter if you have one, or two, or a handful or whatever, because most people can hop between the two and not suffer any withdrawal.

Favorite flavours are highly subjective naturally, but there are some standout vendors that have huge followings because they make excellent juices, such as Pink Spot, Backwoods Brew, Kick Bass Vapor, Ms. T's Bakery, Tasty Vapor, Vaperite, and probably more that escape me off the top of my head. Personally I've fallen in love lately with Prime Vaping's Irish Cream. Simply an amazing Irish Cream that tastes pretty damn close to a shot of Bailey's. I've got a carto tank filled up with some right now, in fact. :)

Sandy, thanks for sharing your experiences with us. I've really enjoyed reading this thread!

You've gotten a lot of good information in here that I wish I would have gotten had I found ECF before my first couple of purchases. I started out with Blu because I was drawn in by their marketing, but at least they drew my attention to vaping and exposed me to the potential. Then I switched to V2, which was better but incredibly overpriced. THEN I found ECF, picked up a couple ePowers, and the rest is history.

You mentioned that you're still coughing...the thing is, I've been vaping exclusively for almost 2 months now and I still get a strong cough every now and again. The thing is, I've noticed that it's a very dry cough. What I mean by that is not only is there no 'cougher's phlegmball' (sorry to be gross) but also that the cough happens when I inhale and have a very dry feeling in my throat. I've been attributing that the to dehydrating effect of vaping...

I sent you a note, also, regarding Windy City Vapers. I don't belong to the club being that I'm nowhere near Chicago, but I have seen live streams from some of their meets and I'm betting that you'd really enjoy that. I know a couple of the members, and they are really great people. They go by names like "Sgttaz" and "DangerGirl" (husband and wife), mastiffmom (an adorable, sweet lady) and TheGreen (a high-strung younger guy but a brilliant mind). I'd strongly encourage you to look into it!

Vapers are not only the best support system if needed, but they are also incredibly generous. Don't be surprised if you have a conversation with someone, and they end up sending you a pack of their favorite cartos to try, or a vendor sends a few samples of some new juice that they're experimenting with when you order something from them, or even if you go to a 'meet' and come home with a new (to you) MOD that they wanted to find a good home for.

If you have spare time in the evenings, get on some of the "TV" sites - VapeTV, ElixirTV, VapeNet, VaporTalk Live Team to name a few. It's a lot like a 'meet' without having to leave home. Some vendors have their own shows (shows is a bit of a misnomer in that it's more like a hosted video chat, and NO, you don't have to get on video but you should definitely join the chat) and give away products once in a while. In fact, last night on VapeTV Allan from SmartVapes.com had a giveaway, and I won a much sought-after "Tie-Dye Ming" drip tip for correctly answering a trivia question. On another occasion, a vendor offered and sent me a beginner DIY kit because I expressed an interest in getting into making my own juices.

I, for one, am glad you're here and look forward to more posts from you!

You guys are the best!

Dyanne - Congrats on your 5 weeks! I hope we can learn together; so glad you are doing well.

Mindfield - Thanks for the juice reccomendations, I'm looking forward to trying some of those :)

ThatJoeGuy - Wow!!! I just went over and joined Windy City Vapers, never heard of it!I also never heard of any of the TV stuff; is it under the Vendors Forums? That sounds like fun. Vaping seems to be my new addiction, so I'd love to try the TV stuff. How do I find them? Thank you for all this great info :)

Sandy
