Why is it all getting so complicated and technical with delivery units?

I have been away from this forum for almost a year and its all gone a bit silly if you ask me!

Battery+ Carto/atomizer with e liquid to your taste equals an alternative to smoking analogs!

What am I missing? All this vaping seems to have fried some peoples brains!

If a 35 year 50 a day analog smoker can get by with 3 kr808 batteries some e liquid and some pre filled cartos why do others need all these gadgets and lots of them?

I just dont understand?

Because its a hobby and an addiction, just like smoking.
I get along fine with a nice P+ and an atomizer.
Sometime later I'll buy a Provari and a ZEN.
But for now, my trusty ol ego with clearomizer at 2.4 ohms works great.

Yes, I suppose it's similar to those who make a hobby/passion out of the subtlety of fine wines or cigars whereas others enjoy a glass or a cigar occasionally. For myself I'm a fill n' go person with an eGo Twist and a Kanger, = simplicity of hardware and the quality of the juices I favor is enough for me and completely satisfying.

To lessen the withdrawal and increase the enjoyment. The first ecig I tried looked like an analogue and after I tried it I thought "Ha! You gotta be kidding because this ain't gonna do it". But then later with more advanced devices I couldn't believe something could satisfy me and be enjoyable. Everyone is different. I'm glad for whatever works for anyone.

Its all about the level you want to take this Vape thing. I started with an eGo, added a vision spinner battery, K2, K3, CE3, then DYI juice, next thing you know your buying a proveri and a Vamo. It does get out of hand, but just like any hobby it also can be an enjoyable passtime to refocus away from the analogs.

I respect that but vaping nicotine shouldnt be a "hobby" but a way of quitting smoking and then quitting nicotine, perhaps this is why some government agencies want it banned?

The first e cig i tried was an analog look alike from China then I purchased an ego t because that was the buzz then, i now use analog look alikes and even the disposables are as good as the ego t ever was.

Smoking tobacco is often considered a hobby too. Back in my stinky days I had a few pipes including a nice old Charaton, a pipe that was selling used for ~$70. I loved the thing and saved it for special occasions. I've known people to spend that much on a single cigar and all the fancy tools and bits for fine tobacco certainly compare to our diverse equipment. Honestly if a simple setup keeps you off the cancer sticks, great for you. If you want to indulge a bit in your vaping experience, go ahead. Its your life, enjoy it as you will

I tried, and liked VV, but most units won't put up with my lifestyle! I have a BB for a backup, need to get new batts for it, and a tin mod to have fun with friends, but I really like the VV! I opted to spend the money on a Provari, just on durability alone, I think it was a good purchase for me. I'd also like to get into RBA's soon, so I have that flexibility.
Without a doubt I could do about the same with my BB! But I get more safety, more functionality, more options and the same durability, why not?
It's not for everyone and I won't kid myself about that! Do I need it? Nope! But it makes it more enjoyable to me and let's me set it to my mood, so it's worth it to me.

I smoked a pack a day for 15 years untill early september I started vaping. I guess my original eGo-t starter kit wasent doing it for me. Every upgrade I have made has been worth it and provides a better vape. I was just doing a little ribbing with you Fish. My Christmas present this year is a provari. I am already using and it is a step up from the Vision Spinner I had as a primary.

Yes but I never specified I vape nicotine anymore.

VAPING, is smoking without killing yourself.


Like indoor skydiving, doing dangerous stuff without as many risks...

Am totally in with you on this one...I have realized the same thing here, the more you keep reading about the newest coolest devices out there, you wanna jump onto it, and then you go through a whole new learning curve, and also end up shedding some more cash, as you need different chargers different attys so on, also everytime you change your device the juice too start tasting diff....some times its get's so frustrating...when in reality the simple 510s / volts and 808 cig alikes can do the job just fine, and we can only tune in to our fav. e-liquid, at the right nic level.

Because, basic units don't give all of us "enough vape". For me, going from the eGo T to a Twist and Vivi Nova was what pushed me from part-time vaper to full-time. I got the Provari for durability, replaceable batteries, how it feels in the hand, and that you get what you set. Would the Twist work long term? Sure, but I love my Provari. I like my Twists.

I agree with the others that mentioned the hobbyist aspect to vaping. To me, it's similar to coffee. Some people enjoy the stuff served at Starbucks. Some people prefer brewing with a Chemex, getting freshly roasted beans from reputable roasters, and grinding the beans with a burr grinder.

The bottom line for me is that the best vaping device is whatever keeps you away tobacco cigarettes.

I respect if your goal in vaping is to quit nicotine. It isn't my goal, though that could change in the future. My body craves nicotine.I became addicted to it by smoking tobacco cigarettes for about 28 years.

I think some governments want to ban it because they either want to control their people or more likely because they haven't yet figured out how to tax the heck out of it yet. Pharmaceutical companies and their lobbyists,seeing the huge potential in lost revenues when this really takes off are the ones IMO are the driving force behind any type of ban.

I also like the gadgets and the fact that I can get my nic fix without the tar and carcinogens that exist in burning tobacco. I.E. I advocate vaping as a tobacco harm reduction measure. I'm convinced , without vaping , I would have died a slow and horrible death due to complications of smoking tobacco. COPD isn't fun.

But we all need to understand that some people love disposables, cheapie kits, etc.
But some people love expensive $500 PV's too...
