Can I have a small rant?

2 x evics = 1 provari.

An evic might last 4 months or 2 years. Either way, Joyetech won't repair it if the wiring has gone, which is what happened to mine.
Also, the threads strip quickly which has killed most of the early ones bought by UK users.

Most cheap mods are designed for our throwaway society. Provari is out there offering something better - people still trade them at 1 or 2 years old and if something should go wrong, you'll be OK.

Provari is a good choice for the repair-impaired. It can be sent in for repairs on 1-year warranty, paid extended second year warranty or paid repair. I bought three Sigelei Zmax Telescopics for the price of one entry-level Provari. One has been in use for over a year. If one of the switches should ever fail on the Sigeleis I have replacement parts on hand (better than original) and a soldering pencil that I know how to use. The switch costs less than a dollar. My DIY repair fee is free. Nothing else ever seems to fail on the Sigeleis.

Provari is built like a tank. The provari hits the same when fully charged or almost dead. But do like sigelei zmax3 and 5 to.
Look at the pBusardo reviews for the Sigelei Zmax V2 and V3. The voltage regulation is as good as Provari down to 3.3V. V5 will have exactly the same voltage regulatiojn specs as V2 and V3.

Maybe it depends where you purchase it. I believe Joytech offers a 3 month warranty on their batteries. I think Janty offers a 6 month warranty on batteries. Check with the supplier before purchasing to see if they honor the warranty.

A note about the pbusaro review. He overtightens the telescopic tube a bit, which should be avoided. The review is a bit out of date. Sigelei made upgrades to V2 and V3 that were made with the V5 late in 2013. These include one-piece stainless steel 510/eGo connectors, removable top cap, new display and circuit board mounts and firmware (which changes the way some of the menu items appear).

There is only one reason to buy a Provari:
1) Because you the type of person that likes to spend their money just once and well. Anything that you spend on mods afterwards will be because you want to, not because you have to. (sub ohming is a want. I do it)

I have one, and have bought most of the other regulated stuff out there, including the Semovar.

While there are a few (and they are few and far between) that are as good as a Provari, none of those are as tough.

The Segelei's OLED screen cracked on me in six weeks, the Vamos got crushed, Evics...

I am not saying the other devices aren't good. They are. Some people like VW, and it doesn't have it. VW isn't necessary by any means.

The Provari is not the newest, shiniest, most fashionable latest shiny toy that RipTrippers is foaming at the vag for.

It's just the all around best, in my experience, and I am rough on mods.

PS

Just buy what you want. The Provari may be overbuilt for you. You can get an excellent vape off of something for less money.

But it is, for the vast majority of those that have bought them, a wise investment. The best thing is, if you don't like it, you can sell it quickly for almost what you paid for it. most others you cannot do that withg.

I don't know why I wasted my money on a Sig when I could have bought a Cobra at 1/6th the price.

I own a Provari and I'm not going to defend it, it is what it is, nothing more, and certainly nothing less. It works every time I push the button, and that's what matters to me.

And "expensive"? The cigarettes I used to smoke are now $6.50 a pack. That's about 13 Provaris a year for me. If my ONE Provari (bought used through the classifieds here) lasts more than 24 days, it's paid for itself.

If it's in your budget, you like the looks, and think it would fit your vaping style, then think about buying one. If not, there are several other choices that you can make that will let you vape happily.

Your mod doesn't matter. Not smoking matters.
