It's too bad most people's first experience has to be a POS PV.
The mall kiosk and the 7-11 makes sense - high profit and 1-time purchase with no loss of reputation.

But why would my smoke shop sell high priced garbage? (read Green Smoke and e-health)
I trusted them when they recommended cigars, rolling machines, etc.

Maybe they realize that this will be the last time that I shadow their entrance.
But...with the right products, accessories, juices, etc...I would have remained loyal to them.

It's all a matter of perspective. How do you think you view an ego or somebody's box mod after you vape a Provari for months?

The idea is to help people find an Alternative to smoking. There are MANY levels of these alternatives out there from that lowly little proprietary mall unit, to the proprietary LEO, to 510's and kr808, to box mods, to the Variable Voltage digital display mods out today. People find reasonable levels of happiness throughout this entire range. If your at the bottom or the top, the vaping world looks entirely different.

If it got you here it was worth it IMO.

BTW Greensmoke isn't garbage - it is actually the near-twin of the most-popular 2-piece somewhat slim cylindrical ecig on this board. The problem is that it is overpriced, they lie about how long cartomizers last, they don't want customers to know about adding juice to cartos (and may even cripple that by using harder to remove end caps), and they are not compatible with all of the normal-priced stuff available for KR808D-1 (they are KR808D-2 with different threading). I use the KR808D-1 with soft-cap cartos for Vapor4Life and blanks from elsewhere and I can get days out of one carto by adding juice whenever it is low.

And lots of people have tried an ecig from 7-11, a smoke shop, a gas station, and realized they actually can stop smoking and just need better equipment. So yeah - those rip-off mall vendors can rot IMO and do discourage some people and that's bad. But lots of people end up here every day after trying an e-cigarette from 7-11 etc.

But if you are a heavy smoker, hard dragger, or need all-day battery charge life, those models probably won't cut it. Check out Ego, Ego-T, Riva 510, or the variety of exotic stuff available.

Stop man, just STOP.

Lemme enjoy breaking even on my Ego clone before moving up to a ProVari...I want one now...I want one, want one, WANT ONE!

Every time you post something about it, the little tech. junkie imp in me, that has to have the biggest/fastest/newest/shiniest, starts jumping up and down and jibbering excitedly! ;)

Those mall cigs really do use the unknown to there advantage. When I bought my first kiosk ecig I had no clue about the ecig community, eliquid, egos, etc. I hated the thing, but it at least got me googling ecigs which led me to my first purchase online...which was my ego. The ego is what really got me to quit smoking 100%

I lucked out with my kiosk purchase. I still spent WAY too much for it, but it worked well enough for me to drop cigs in 3 weeks. In fact it is sitting in a cabinet with both batteries fully charged, a fully cleaned atty and shiny spare atty still in plastic and a box of empty carts....waiting for either a new owner (still looking for the right smoker to express the right interest) or for the Vaping Gods to strike my Inferno down in spite (not likely to happen, but why take the chance? ;) )

I have to agree. I started my vaping with the cheap POS from 7-11. I then found ECF, and now have a great V2 cig that I love. :vapor:

Rosa & untamedrose are spot on!

The over priced sellers are just chancers & hoping to catch out folks that haven't researched/googled for the best deals - or haven't come across ECF yet :)

Yup its all about making a quick buck. the E Cig market is full of people that are profiteering in a young industry. Its a classic example of caveat emptor.
