I have the EVO and 901. I find myself reaching for my 901 with the passthrough any day where theres a usb plug available. I have the TW 901 and i have read here in the forums that some people are having a better experience with them than other 901's, like better reliability. For me i cannot say because the only 901 i own is from TW. Oh and my TW 901 atomizer has lasted me a month of heavy use now.
Vapor,
I too own the TW 901, Its great, but its just not what im looking for in an out and about e-cig. Its great at home though i must admit. Im really thinking about the m-401 and the titan from TW.

Is the 401 reliable and does it give that extra hit to your throat?

yeah from my experience with the 901 does suck as a on the go E-cig because of mainly battery life.

The EVO has much better battery life than the 901 and is better on the go. The EVO gives me a little more flavor and more throat hit than the 901 but less vapor. Throat hit is a relative term here though. Theres a lot of people who say the 901 gives more throat hit than the EVO.

Just get a usb passthrough and vape the 901 in your car. Its godly :)

When you are out and about, the EVO is nice to have. Just make sure you refilled the cartridges in your house because its a pain to refill them when on the go. Cops will think your doing drugs while refilling your carts lol.

Different E-Cigs for different purposes i guess. 901 still beats out the EVO imo as the best vaping experience. I wish i could try more e-Cigs but i bought a ton of liquid and i do not wish to spend more money on vaping.

My 401 Pilot is a fogger. Decent throt hit but it and the Evo are the only ones I own. I would recomend it. Great battery life and I have been rotating between two atts for almost a month with heavy dripping and use with no lag in performance. The cart really suck though and so does the sensetive batteries (Evo atom is the worst). Plane and simple it looks good and preforms.
I do plan on a 901 as my next one but will prob wind up as a Magnum. I also have plans for a Dura-C becuse I want that manual switch to overcome the sensitive batts on the 401 when I am out and about. That is if they fix their own isues lol

Yeah, im think of the pilot 401 for my outdoors enjoyment, and carry spare batts, and carts. And for when im just lounging at home im thinking of the Titan or the Dura-C but im sure they are the same thing.:) The 901 to me is very reliable, But im looking for just a slight increase in the throat hit..

think you'll be happy with the 401. for me the throat hit is way better than the 901. the 901 is just too smooth for me.

I do enjoy my 401 also, but it does have one flaw and that is the sensitive batteries. Can't use it in a loud areas (clubs, bars with bands, etc....) and can't use it in the car when the windows are down (yes, I can have my windows rolled up, but who wants to do that when one is out crusin).

I do have a 901 on the way and that might be the second device I carry with me only when I'm in car or clubs and as a backup when my 401 is out of commission.

Why is it that you cant use it in loud areas? Does it activate with sound too? I play a lot of shows... So should i just get a Dura-c?

Yeah, the 401 goes kinda wacky with a strong bass riff. I just put my thumb over the cart while I drive, and I don't have any problems. I would take the 401 over the 901 ANY day, except at a show--but I don't go to many shows these days anyways :(. I miss my drunken irish punk reveling.
Oh dang! Im a bass player with some crazy riffs, And the punk scene is always bassy and loud. And mostly anytime i go out is to a bar.. No the question is.. what model should i go for now??

Like KDMickey mention, it will activate on it's own. The only way to prevent it would be how he explained on covering the hole or disassemble it altogether. This even happens with subs in a car. I had to experiment with it in my buddies car and I can see it light up on it's own and it was start to get hot. I'm hoping that the new improved 510 comes out soon to the US. Looks like that might be the ticket to my 401 issue.

is it that hard to take it out of the case and screw the battery and atomizer together whenever you want to vape?

To answer your question, no it's not that hard, but it IS a inconvenience though. I personally do find it a bit irritating that 401 is the only one that experiences these issues while other models do not. Yet we will have an individual always suggesting to 'put it in a the case'. Maybe the problem really here is that the manufacturers need to do more q/a on these products to make them less prone or susceptible to these kinds of issues.

There is something wrong with your 401. Not sure what it is but all of my 401's (I own 10 :) ) would kick that one's ... in the vapour production dept.

Could it be you have a bad atomizer?

Could be but both of my atomizers perform the same. I ordered an extra when i bought the pilot. I just ordered one from parked's site the other day. I hope that one performs better than these 2. What I dont understand is the coil inside on both of mine glow bright red and the metal wick absorbs the juice nicely so I dont know why it doesnt produce the vapor like it should. Its not terrible but not even close to my 901.
