Different resistances (ohm ratings) are offered because some folks like a warmer vape (lower ohms) and some folks like something cooler (higher ohms).

Fixed or single voltage battery devices (ie non-variable voltage eGo or mechanical mods) usually work best with a low resistance coil. Regulated battery devices (ie eGo Twist or Spinner and VV/VW mods) work best with a higher resistance, and these coils allow for a wider range of voltage settings than a low resistance coil would.

I was wondering why you would use a different resistance atty for different clearomizers if you use them all on the same battery?
Im pretty new to this and am trying to learn everything I can, would love if someone can help me understand the method to this madness..

maybe because that's what they had at the store?

Why is this? If a regulated device is set at 3.7, then how would a Mech Mod not be the same. As I understand it, a battery in a Mech Mod starts at 4.2 but drops and levesl out at 3.7 before taking another drop ready for charging. Maybe I'm wrong here.

I have considered buying a Mech Mod and done all the math/research, but have never understood why it has often been said, 'fixed volt devices for low resistance and regulated for high resistance.'

Ok so another questions, I just bought some new coils yesterday and they were 2.2 ohm, im wondering if I could have done any damage to the new atty I just put in 12 hours ago by turning my vision spinners voltage 1300 all the way up to 4.8 volts?

My e juice just taste a lil burnt like every 3rd hit

If you use too high a voltage, the coil gets too hot the wick gets too dry some eliquid gets burnt on the silica wick, and you get a little bit of the burnt taste until you change that coil/wick.

High resistance needs higher voltage.

You can't bump up the voltage on a mech; you can hold the button down for short intervals with a mech if the resistance is a bit too low.
