Hi guys, im pretty new to vaping, and have learned a lot, but still havemuch to learn. Can anyone tell me whats better ab a mech mod? I startd with the cig look alikes, then an ego, then segeili zmax, which bought used, which appearantly had stripped threads where tank attaches, and now have an ego twist. I was hoping for some comparison info before getting another mon. Thanks

Hi Rivet, I used to be a VV/VW fanatic and swore I would never use anything other, however, my desk is full up on mech mods. For myself, mech mods are more customizable. I can use lower own coils (that I make myself) with different rebuildable drippers and genesis atomizers ect. I like the fact that I can control my vaping experience to the point of what I like exactly without a lot of variation or "failed" products.

Mech mods aren't really for the "new user" unless you have a grasp on the Ohms Law and know your amperage on the batteries you'll be using in conjunction. Definately make sure to read up about the safety and the hazards of using a mech over another type of mod that has built in protections. Mech mods have NO internal wiring or protection boards/modules ect so if you're coil is wonky, you could short out the battery and cause it to vent.

Definately check out this forum APV Discussion for advice and guidance on batteries, mod types, coil builds ect.

Do you still have the ZMAX? You could use one of these adapters to get it working again. eGo to [eGo] Adapter

Traditionally VV/VW devices had limits when it came to amp draw,so for those that wanted to exceed those limits, especially with low ohm rebuildable setups, mechanicals were the answer. They did'nt have the circuitry or switches that limited the VV/VW devices abilities, for the same reasons quality built mechanicals should last a long time as they don't have those parts that go bad. There are VV/VW devices now though that can handle the higher amp draws.
