If you take your average person and subtract his libido and increase his knowledge you have a better citizen.
Being old gives no rights but being old.
If you take your average person and subtract his libido and increase his knowledge you have a better citizen.
Only if that old person is truly shallow.
Well thank you for re-iterating the lack of value we put on "old people" here in the US.
In many other cultures, they are venerated for their wisdom.
I can tell you that I have had more life and career experience at 61 than I did at 22......and with that came *learning*.....the hard way .
One of which was that you can't over-generalize when it comes to *people*.![]()
Come on Andria read the whole post.
Are you afraid of cigarettes to the point that you couldn't imagine vaping? No, of course not! You vape to not smoke. Right?
How would you feel if suddenly you could still smoke - Vape.
Scared and perplexed I would bet.
If I had already quit smoking by another method, I doubt seriously if I would be vaping. I mean, why bother with it if I wasn't smoking anymore?
I think I've also had an interesting journey with vaping. What turned me off from vaping before was really just my first impressions on my first eGo style battery and CE4 clearomizer. I had gotten this in an attempt to quit smoking, and for the first few weeks, it was working, but I quickly noticed that my CE4 would often become harsh in the morning for a good hour when I would start to vape for the first time in the day, and sometimes that turned me off from even using the vape and just picking up a cigarette. For any first time vaper trying to get off stoges, I have to recommend that you enter the vaping world the right way, with a reliable, quality built VV mod. The sub-50 dollar starter kits just never did it for me. Although it's been a while since that time and now I'm full on into cloud chasing and I notice that starter kits are starting to offer better selections.

Do you really know if I am younger or older than you?
I am actually pretty drunk right now and I have no interest at all in getting my smokes from my sock drawer just three feet behind me.
Knowing I could do this thing that's kinda *like* smoking, but ISN'T smoking? I'd holler hallelujah and make tracks for the vape store! I quit drinking 22 yrs ago, and have come to enjoy the fact that I no longer have to obliterate my senses just to feel *complete*... but if there was suddenly a relatively-harmless way I could enjoy something *like* drinking, that WASN'T drinking? I'd holler hallelujah and go find me some!
No puritan here. I'm a hedonist to my fingernails, I just had to give up some of my pleasures when they started hurting me more than pleasing me.

PS: I'm perfectly serious -- in my early sobriety, I used to fantasize about the "synthehol" they drank on 10-Forward, wondering if it would wreck my sobriety, if such a thing really existed...![]()
I guess I what I am trying to say is that, intelligent people can master content and subjects rapidly. However, it takes a lifetime to put it all together if your lucky.
