Hello all,
I am using a mini provari with killer 705 in an IB tanked 19ml XL. I recoil my wick with cotton braided and 32 gauge kanthal wire, the flavor is awsome with fresh wick. I do have feeding problem once in a while, but with a little of push and pull draw it goes away. Now, what I have seen is that every 3 days or so, or about 3-4 tank, my wick will gunk up bad. The place where the coil is all blanken, lost all flavor. Also, resistant is jumping around, fresh coil running 1.8 ohm, after 10 minutes of chain vape, it go up to 2 ohm, then after about an hour of chain vape it go down to 1.8 ohm. Now I have compare my coil with the coil I see on youtube and I see that my coil is rather close together. But the space I have is quite small, is there a way to do it differently? Is this the way it is? Can someone point out to me away to make my resistant less jumpy and my coil take a little more then 3-4 tank before gunk to cr*p?

Thank you so much in advance

Hey,

What juice are you using? I personnally use steeped natural tobacco juices and I rebuild everyday or so, I dont think it is related to the atomizer as I am having the same problem with my killer, dripper and genisis atomizer (the later has to be cleaned daily rather than recoiled as it is a lot easier to access it).

Also, the higher the watts(at least I think its happening to me), the faster the gunk builds up.

As for the jumping resistance again I dont think it's related to the atty. just ensure you have good contact between all parts as if you fully open the feeding the post of the 510 adapter goes further in and the contact with the mod can become dodgy without an adjustable post.

That's all I can think of atm.

I'm using VG-heavy juices, so the coils on my Killer get gunked up pretty well within a day of vaping. It hasn't been bad enough that I had to rebuild yet because I try to rotate flavors after each fill, once a day, so I have to dry burn the wick to get some of the old flavor out anyway. Dry burning is kind of a chore since the wicks are so long, but the coils will get clean enough to be used again afterward. I haven't been able to get all of the old flavor out by doing this, though, so the new flavor is kind of muddled for a while when I start vaping again.

As for jumping resistances, Dnerve may have a point about the floating pin not wanting to make good contact. I've read about people having similar issues with that before, though mine hasn't acted up for me. Another possibility could be that your bell is loose. If you twist from the top of the tank to adjust feeding rather than the bottom, or if you've rebuilt the coil and wick and didn't get the bell on tight enough, you could be giving the lead that's held in place by the bell just enough room to wiggle and affect your resistance. Just make sure the bell and each of the individual parts are tight and secure, and hopefully that will fix the problem.
