I don't own this item, but it looks pretty sweet aside from its shortcomings. Pun intended. I agree that it should have a longer cord. If it isn't only about cutting costs, I suppose their thought may have been that people might put it on their kitchen counter, in which case the shorter cord wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Thanks for the review Mooby! Waiting to pick this up until the 30% off sale on Oct. 5, myself. Sucks about the cord, but I've noticed that with a lot of their products... They cut the length or change the style of cord to make the product a little more cost effective for them. Not too bad though, so far I've bought everything through them, and have found various ways around this.

On my single battery charger, the indicator light starts to blink after awhile.... green for about 10 seconds, then red for 2, then green again. It happens with most of the batteries I bought in a multi-pack, but not with one of them, and not with the regular battery I got in a kit. I've read that its just a way to let off some excess charge, but I find these batteries don't always charge completely, and die a lot sooner then the others that get a solid green indicator. Have you noticed this with the mega charger?

I feel your frustration...

I ordered the double-510 boxless kit from Cignot, which arrived today. Price was great, shipping fast, service responsive, and the atomizers and batteries were perfect. But the AC-powered 'desktop charger' comes with a cord that is LESS THAN ONE FOOT LONG!! No exaggeration, I measured 9.5" from wall to charger body. Thank god it's a standard cord connection that I have spares of laying around, from boomboxes and what-not...

Regarding noise (coming from someone who's exceptionally sensitive to circuit hum) that is sometimes benign, other times a sign of a transistor or capacitor that's not healthy... If others report no noises from their 5-way charger, I'd ship it back for replacement myself, on the assumption that it's a defect waiting to fully fail.

Thanks for the review Mooby, I just ordered two of them along with 10 mega batteries for my husband and I, great deal with their 30% off sale right now.

The short cord will be fine for us, the first thing I do when setting up my computer desk whether it's at home or work is put a power bar on my desk, why fiddle around with having to find a wall socket for plugging in a phone charger, or mp3 player charger. They are only $5 and save a bunch of hassle.
