Hello All

This forum is great. I have been vaping for about 6 months and use it all the time for the vast information. I started with and Ego and have moved on to using the VAMO and Vivi Novas. I have also started to experiment with making my owns wicks but have not had a lot of luck.

Things I am trying are cheese cloth and candle wick both 100% cotton and boiled clean. I successfully made one with candle wick and it had great vapor and flavor, but then didn't pay attention and dry vaped it and burned. I have not successfully made another. I can make them fine with the ohm I need but nothing seems to wick fast enough now, take a vape and have to wait 5 minutes to do it again. Any advice or point in the right direction would help. Thanks

Sorry forgot to mention that I also have a Smok R Tank which is what I am working with with new coil/wick, my Vivi Nova is getting me by till I can get this working.

I tried that last night, wrapped the coil on cheese cloth not to tight but even then just didn't wick the liquid up well. juice is 50/50. The wick fits snug through the holes going to the tank, could that be choking the flow?

Yes that is very possible. You could try slightly unscrewing the drip tip and slightly lift the silicon cap- screw drip back on BUT not all the way down. This should tell you if the wick is being "strangled" at the entry point. Sometimes the silicon cap has to be CAREFULLY "notched" to allow juice in but realize it has to be VERY SMALL and it is permanent.

Sorry I spoke of the Vivi.
Here's some info:
"Things start to break down, however, when the tank is about a quarter full. The real performance doesn't drop, but wicking seems to run into some trouble at that point. If you take frequent hits when the tank is low, chances are you'll get a burnt one in there."
